Murderers were arrested because their crime is illegal according to the law.

So what's the controversy that we should be hearing about on a national level? What makes this a bigger story beyond what is covered every day on the local news?

    (Betcha don't answer)

Supposedly, it was a robbery gone wrong. But, nothing was taken from him and he was shot from a distance.

    (Betcha I will)

Thanks, it's been a while since you've answered a direct question.

So it's a murder where the motive is still in doubt. Seems to me like Memphis local news has it sufficiently covered... Not sure what the angle is for Conservative bloggers who think this merits some kind of lengthy national discussion. I don't know anyone who thinks robbery or murder should be legal.

I guess some people see the double-standard and others don't.

You have the TM case, where the racism actually was manufactured. As opposed to the Chris Lane case, which appears to have some racial component, but HuffPo says the race angle is "manufactured". smh

You watch Fox news? I haven't watched it in weeks.
fox news, zimmerman supporters, o'riley, limbaugh and their flock of sheep, etc were all saying the exact same thing you did since this case came out. its just so funny how they don't even care about Mr. Lane or his family. using this poor mans senseless death to 'get even' and scream for justice is just downright sad and evil.

naw the racism was pure and unfiltered. nothing about it was manufactured. the lack of empathy, comments, blogs and interviews exposed the racism. the zimmerman supporters didn't hide their racism or racial stereotypes, one of the biggest being demonizing trayvon into a cold hearted thug that deserved to die. these 3 kids who killed Mr. Lane are actual thugs, not the make believe typical black thug persona created for trayvon.

Oh and another favorite saying was 'they'll stop talking about trayvon days after the verdict' welp, its been over a month and his name is still ringing and the zimmerman supporters keep bringing it up

You are not omnipotent and you have no way of knowing whether people actually care about Chris Lane or not. You just randomly spew your hate and bigotry an paint entire classes of people with the same brush.

Probably shouldn't have put it at all, but some white people enjoy posting such things.

I certainly don't see the double standard. I think you misinterpreted the whole Trayvon story as some kind of national outcry against white-on-black violence. It wasn't. It was a nuanced story about a man who chased after a "su ious looking" kid and ended up killing him, then was let off the hook and later found innocent of the charges because Florida state law allows you to shoot someone if you feel threatened. It divided the country, and black America was understandably more sympathetic to the Trayvon side because it was certainly fair to ask what exactly was su ious about Trayvon Martin that night.

There may have been racism in the Chris Lane murder and the Memphis murder, but everyone pretty much unanimously agrees that these people are murderers and should be punished accordingly. Justice has been served. There's no controversy. Unless you think there is some sort of black-on-white crime epidemic that is being underreported by the national media, leading to a national ignorance of the threat posed by black people.

Somebody had to say it. Glad you did.

It seems a lot of people have zero shame when it comes to fanning the flames of racial tension, no matter how callous and how exploitative towards the victims. It borders on disturbing.

Race baiters Sharpton and Jackson don't give a about this case because they know it won't be an easy sell for their minions nor to the media. American society loves racism and race because people like to about those things. I hope the psychos that killed that Australian guy get the beaten out of them by Klan members in prison. Edit- Jackson did say something about it but that's not good enough in my opinion. He needs to step up and go to Duncan, OK and demand justice for this Australian guy.

You've been trained well to take soundbytes out of context and get mad about them.

Do you feel that in the context of everything Oprah said afterward that she is claiming that we have a white-on-black violence epidemic?

Racist murders are bad no matter what the color of the skin of the victim.

There, how is Darrin going to be pissed now? I mean isn't that just plain obvious?

God damn DA's must love having the "try as an adult" bullet to use. Makes them look so damn tough on crime. Whats the point of having a juvenile distinction if a DA can just throw that out when it suits them? Oh hey, it'll look tough in public because they all hate you so lets just act as though the bad decision you made somehow shows that you're an adult.

Some of the most illogical we do in this country.

    You sure about that?

    http://www.examiner.com/article/excl...-of-gun-deaths

    July 13, 2013
The ten states given the highest ratings by the Brady Campaign for having the most stringent gun control legislation have about triple the amount of gun deaths compared to the ten states that have the least restrictive gun legislation, according to data compiled by the Examiner.
This isn't entirely accurate either. There seems to be little effect of using the Brady score. It actually has a very close following to the percentage of Latino plus Blacks. Check out these two charts:

I got tired of all this liberal bull saying gun control states have less gun violence. I hope that me taking the time to graph the actual data makes you stupid liberal lemmings to actually verify the your read, eat, and breath.

What's the big deal? He's just exercising his second amendment rights.

When will you people learn that it is a FACT that the states with the toughest gun control laws have the fewest gun deaths? You can't stop people from being bad or crazy, you can only control what means they have to exercise those "qualities".
Total bull , you liberal lemming. The trend line is almost flat No change worth claiming any win for.

I didn't read any of the posts in this thread because I don't want to lower my IQ, but the three boys are not all black. One is clearly white and one looks mixed race, so you fail in attempting to make this a black on white race war. Good day.
