Wrong. Mat 19:9 speaks of betrothal. Reference Matthew 1. The word for adultery is moichea. Jesus used porneia which refers to premarital sex. Joseph wanted to quietly divorce his espoused "wife" during betrothal for porneia because she was with child. That is why Jesus is mocked in John 8:41 as a child of fornication (porneia).
There is no grounds for divorce from a covenant spouse for a Christian. The notion there is comes from Erasmus and Luther, not Christ and Paul.

Building up, yes, but only if you accept it. All scripture....all all all....scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Paul commanded us to be hard on people who refuse to respond to correction and reproof. When pastors lie I don't mince words when they show defiance to Christ. The Word is sharper than any two edged sword and Pharisitical liars don't respond to truth with much humility.... I am extremely compassionate with the humble. But not with stubborn liars.
We have been hoodwinked on many things by the so called modern church. Divorce and remarriage is just the easiest one to see. The Deception Clause is what Matthew 19:9 is. Twisted by people with an agenda.
