No way Bale is coming back
This future Batman will be part of a reboot, as Bale's Batman was set in a realistic world, no flying Alien or like that
And like I already said before, what could Batman possible do to keep up with Superman? They're WAAAAY too different. Batman's pretty much a more kickass James Bond while Superman is pure sci-fi

Ben Affleck was announced as the new Batman today.
W....T....F
I'll reserve judgment. Affleck can be hit and miss. ...no one thought Ruffalo would be worth a damn as Bruce Banner and he was great.
Affleck's acting has improved since he became a director.
10 years ago, I would've cringed. Now, I'll wait and see. Affleck has come a long long way since Giggly and his other shenanigans.
Daredevil still burns my memory.
Ten years ago tbh.
and not out of the blue, he was rumored for the part along with an offer to direct the Justice League movie a while ago.
Ben Affleck going the Chris Evans route
figures ace3g would be on top of this before anyone. 's relentless.
mah . this is a horrible move imo. he's turned into a decent director, a bit overrated but not bad. i'm getting Daredevil nightmares just thinking about it.
tbf, he's not a horrible actor, likeable and as I said somewhat talented as a director, but dude has as much gravitas as my scrotum. I ain't buying it.
i always knew Ruffalo would be fine as Hulk, him and Downey Jr were perfect in Zodiac, which is probably my favorite Fincher flick. criminally underrated.

Affleck ??????
ARE YOU ING KIDDING ME ???????????????????????????????????????????????
Why not? He was good as Daredevil(underrated superhero in my opinion).
DD was a great superhero
In the comics
Meh. He's grown up a lot as an actor since Daredevil, and even then for a film that was a long string of weak links I think he was the least weakest of the bunch. High praise I know. But in the announcement "Ben Affleck will play Batman in Zach Snyder's next DC project, tentatively led Batman vs. Superman" the name Ben Affleck is the thing that gives me the least cause for concern.
Lots of meltdown internet wide over this today.![]()
One report I saw mentioned a $50 million offer for him to keep suiting up. Not sure if that was for just the next movie or to stay on through the whole Justice League arc of things. Who knows if a syllable of that is true though? I would think they wouldn't want to have to contend with any more comparison to Nolan's Batman series than will be absolutely necessary. I'm not trying to start a debate on those movies (there's plenty of threads already), nor am I saying that this can't match or even eclipse those films. But that series had its own voice or tone or style or whatever the they want to call it. If they're playing the same long game that Marvel did towards a Justice League flick then the new Batman will need to find one of its own, one where superhuman and supernatural elements could fit more seamlessly at least. I think it's a gimme that the new ones would have to be less gritty and realistic because of that and I can understand how this announcement would set off some alarms with fans thinking about just how far some of Affleck's work goes in the opposite direction.
I'm sure I'll still watch the mother er..but..
