I like Chris Evans, personally. Take him over Reynolds anyday. I also think if they were going with an older Batman someone in their middle ages would have been a better choice than Affleck.

At least they should choose someone with muscles to take that role imho. The past several batmans have been just too thin, like they always got the Robin guy to act in the batman role. Batman ought to be swole like the familiar one we saw in cartoons when we were kids.
Adam West vs Heath Ledger would have been a must see.
"In Ben Affleck's Batman..his parents kill themselves!"
Hard to say for me. Reynolds had Deadpool's personality down pretty well before the writers royally ed that up... At least he did his homework. I don't have anything against all 4 of them personally. Affleck is responsible for some good as a director... haven't seen Argo though. The other 3 are solid, not-anything-special actors who make pretty faces for the big screen imo.
Didn't know Batman was suppose to be older for this film. Maybe they'll give him the Benjamin Button treatment... which would be a stupid waste of money to spend when you could just cast an older dude.
I always felt like Bruce Wayne Batman should exist in a generation before Superman. Have something along the lines of a Batman Beyond arc existing during Superman's timeline so that the power disparity wasn't so huge.
You thought AH was a bad choice? Why?
OP is late to the party
If Tom Cruise were about a foot taller, I'd say he'd make a pretty cool Bruce.
Just too nerdy and unathletic to be a down and dirty karate kicking Catwoman, imo.
She's also one of those sometimes she looks hot, sometimes she's not type of chicks.
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of this either... but Affleck was the BOMB in Phantoms.
I remember reading that it was going to be an actor from the Teen Wolf series. This is also a bad choice.
problem with Hollywood is so many are scared to take a chance, so whenever there is a successful formula (ie comic book movies) everyone runs that into the ground.
from this....

lol more fkn reboots or adding new villains to the storyline? cause this is bull if its reboot
i read they are also making van damn kickboxer and bloodsport reboots
tbh though everyone thought it was lame as when heath ledger was selected as the joker
The only entertaining thing with Batman and Superman....this was made only like 10 months ago and is prolly 100000 x better than the ty movie coming out
And since I didn't read the first page until now, some thoughts.
Ryan Reynolds sucks because he can't act himself out of the Van Wilder persona if you paid him millions of dollars. I know this because he is paid millions of dollars to star in movies and they all seem like bizarre spin offs of Van Wilder, like if Van graduated college and then went on to work for Sandra Bullock and marries her so he doesn't get fired so she doesn't get deported. He reminds me a lot of Sean William Scott. That guy is going to ride his Steve Stiffler persona till the day he dies.
Chris Evans has come a long way since Not Another Teen Movie. He wasn't good in Fantastic 4 because those come from the same era of Hollywood Super Hero as Daredevil. I actually thought it was unfair for him to get cast as Captain America after already playing the Human Torch because realistically you shouldn't be allowed to double dip on super hero roles, but he does Cap about as good as Downey Jr. does Tony Stark. Good role for him and about the only thing that gives me hope about Affleck's Batman.
I'm not THAT worried about Affleck as Batman. This movie with Superman is clearly just a cash grab for an inevitable Justice League movie. Solo Batman and JLA Batman ain't the same ballpark. It ain't the same league. It ain't even the same ing sport. I'm a lot more worried about Affleck as Bruce Wayne than I am about Affleck as the Batman.
Count me as one of those people. That is why I will withhold my judgement until I see the movie. I was pissed/confused as to how Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. The same Ledger who was in Brokeback Mountain? But damn, he surprised the out of all of us and did a damn great job....
tbh I think he'll do ok. He's a good actor, director, and a decent writer. He's done the Superhero thing before. If he gets into good shape, he should be fine.
This blows, Bale was the best Batman I've ever seen. Affleck couldn't even play a low tier (in comparison to Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman, etc) Daredevil very well. What the makes anybody think he can play one of the most iconic Super heroes ever?
I'm a long time Tom Cruise fan and he's the one actor that I most want to co-star with my goddess in a film, they're both new yorkers and their sizes perfectly match each other. Mission impossible was their first chance, but goddess had to decline it due to cast conflict. But Tom is too old to make a good batman imho. Chris Evans would've been an ideal actor for the batman role had he not been known as captain america, dude's swole and relatively young, knowing how to act and having good fighting skills.
Well at least we can hope all the backlash and criticism will fuel affleck to really bring his A game.....unlike Manu
