Unless he was beating Usain Bolt down the court not much to brag about in having a big line against Jamaica.
17pts 8rb 10ast 2st
Not much improvement on his jumper though![]()

given pt during the upcoming season cojos shot will appear..........................................
Still waiting... however he did play good defense in the playoffs.
http://firstrownow.eu/watch/204981/1...vs-canada.html he's playing now... seven points in 5 minutes
Cojo is playing really well .12 points in the first quarter, he is hitting his outside shots
I've renamed the thread to follow Joseph through that compe ion here.

another great performance by CJ![]()
Brazil played as bad as I ever seen, Cojo was really bad guarded. 28 points 9 rebounds 4 assists and 3 steals for Joseph completely dominated the game
As a Spurs fan I couldn't be happier with Cojo. He is destroying Brazil and he is playing against a good PG (Huertas)
As a Brazilian I must say this team sucks ! Defensively they're pathetic and offensively they simply lack fundamentals. They're truly missing the NBA stars.
That's some great stats against Brazil who is a relatively good team. Joseph has started slow this summer with Canada but, despite a bad game yesterday against Puerto Rico, he has put some impressive games lately.
Brazil is missing Nene, Varejao, Splitter, Barbosa, Faverani and Vinicius. As a sign of how little they thought of Joseph's scoring ability, they had Huertas, not Garcia (their best perimeter defender) guard him, despite the fact that Canada lacks anyone else even remotely capable of breaking the defense down.
I've watched Joseph play five times for Canada this summer and he hasn't just shot poorly from the perimeter, he's been thoroughly disappointing in almost every aspect. With Canada missing a lot of their front line talent/depth (Wiggins, Bennett, Olynyk, English, Kabongo, K. Joseph, Sacre), they've really needed him to not only be their primary creator, but to score too and he's failed miserably on both counts.
But, but... 28 points, 9 rebounds isn't good enough for you?
I'm talking about the five games overall. This one was the exception, not the rule, meaning it was probably law of averages more than anything, helped by the fact that a poor defender was guarding him.
Just realized I forgot about him, but add Melo to the list of players Brazil is missing . . . in general, there's a lot of NBA players not playing in this tournament.
If anything Joseph shows he's a great rebounder for a PG.
Good stuff, looks poised.

Canada is playing Uruguay right now
Looks like another solid game for CJ!
Cory's game saying, "Please put off any discussion about who will be the back-up PG of my NBA team."
Despite the less gaudier raw numbers, he was even better against Uruguay than he was against Brazil. I realize Uruguay aren't exactly world beaters, but still, this was the best I've ever seen him play. He basically looked like a lesser version of Parker.
Hopefully, he maintains that level of offensive aggressiveness and assertiveness going forward in the tournament, boosts his confidence in the process and carries it into the season.
FlashZo, since you are our resident sneakerhead, what are those kicks that Corey Joseph is sporting? Are they available and do they come in Spurs' colors?
Side-note: Not enough CoJo highlights for my liking.
