this. smh...
the level of talent on the team should result in nothing less than a Big 12 championship, beating OU, and a solid showing in a BCS bowl.
but unfortunately, that seems to be the best case scenario due to the mismanagement of the team

He stopped it last year when we had 66 on Ole Miss and were in position to score.
I've been saying that for years.
the program is more about pumping out NFL players. that's why Texas gets sooo many caliber players. imo, bowls and championships are nice, but steady revenue stream, image and factory producing NFL prospects is much more appealing to recruits.
well that's good because getting 66 hung on you doesn't feel nearly as bad as 77 does.
Man the beginning of that game sucked. Ruined my hard earned buzz that I had worked so hard a the tailgate for. Thankfully I got it back at halftime and the game turned out to be a blowout. Still plenty to be concerned about. All this talent is once again being under utilized.
I was at a wedding and missed the game. Recorded it though, so maybe I'll get around to watching it tonight. Stats look nice, but this thread doesn't make it sound good.
Skip the first half.
There were no real "drives" by Texas.
We figured out a way to get the athletes into space, NMSU tired, a track meet ensued.
Our D looked much better tackling. We maybe missed 5-8 clean tackles the whole game. Still not wrapping up. Still trying to blow guys up.
I don't know if I agree with that. I haven't examined film or anything but I don't recall seeing that many missed tackles. They looked much better fundamentally but of course it was New Mexico State so who knows.
Dalton Santos was everywhere while playing LB in the second half. I see him coming on strong this year and leading that unit next season.
A. Phillips tries to blow guys up not tackle. M. Thompson still looks like he has not clue on defense at times. He has to get better at tackling.
I will rewatch and do a count as well as call out the "offending defender" if I get a chance.
looks like BYU saw this on film as well. UT's offense consists of outside screens and running the ball up the middle while reading the opposing D.
as far as defense, rofl better tackling, gtfo.

UT should just run wishbone the rest of the season with all of the backs they have
