    I've got to agree with Imex here. He's definitely worth the money. Easily the best player Arsenal has been linked with during the window.

    I wouldn't agree he is the best attacking mid in the world. He is a great footballer, no doubt, but a tad overrated in my eyes. It's not that I wouldn't want him at all at Arsenal (that would be stupid), but for this kind of money, and especially considering this type of player isn't exactly a teamneed in London right now. If there's one thing Arsenal aren't short on at the moment, it's creative midfielders (even if none of them individually is on Özil's level). What they really need is a quality striker, a quality defensive midfielder, maybe another winger and maybe another CB.

    Well, Rosicky is in the last year of his contract (I think), so it might with an eye toward that.

    Agree that there are more pressing needs, as you mention above, but with a player like Ozil, you may only get one shot at him, so you have to act quickly

    Yeah the holding midfielder issue worries me. A fullback is needed to, but Ozil is class that the Gunners could use. They have the money, so I can care less if they overpaid or not.
