Canada plays Mexico in about an hour

He looks in tip-top shape. Really hope he continues his impressive play and stays healthy. We'll definitely need him next season.
Corey played great in the 1st half, 2nd half he had some turnovers though and it took him a bit too long to get into the offense. Still rebounded and defended well.
Canada
STARTERS POS Min FG FG% 3P 3P% FT FT% OR DR REB AS TO ST BS PF PTS EFF 5 C. JOSEPH PG 32:53 6-12 50 3-5 60 2-3 67 1 7 8 6 4 1 0 3 17 21
I notice he tends to turn the ball over a lot. Well, when he's got extended pt, that is. Anyway, what do you think of it? Does it seem like he's forcing stuff a bit, or does he need to improve his handles, or is it because of his teammates not being at the right spots?
nah cojos to numbers are misleading ................... cojos turnovers are usually the result of his teammates........................
"word....... cojo>>>>>nando>>>>>>Patty" right?
With Joseph playing that well, Canada light qualify for the World Cup next summer. They need to finish in the top 4 of that compe ion to do that.
Renaldo Balkman is also putting great stats with Puerto Rico. He was a decent NBA player few years ago and he could be a nice small ball PF for Spurs.
Yeah everyone is talking about Balkman, although he is shooting a high percentage and rebounding well, doesn't really have a jumper and he isn't that quick anymore.
I don't think Balkman's gonna be a good fit on the Spurs. He played as in import in the Philippines early this year or late last year, and he ended up getting banned. Dude was arguing with the refs, and when one of his teammates tried to pacify him, Balkman turned on him and went for a choke hold. That screams anti spur to, seems like.
"It might have been easy to overlook Joseph’s contributions on this afternoon with Rautins (19) and Heslip (21) putting on a show from long range in the second half, but Canada stayed in this contest because of Joseph’s aggressive play and the young guard finished with 17 points on 6-12 shooting, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The FIBA Americas tournament has been quite the coming out party for the Spurs backup point guard."

Glad to hear this news.
Canada vs Venezuela is about to start

Cory is a bit trigger happy so far, but his defense has been great imo
Looking at the boxscore it looks like foul trouble is going to doom Canada. CJ doesn't seem to be playing all that well either.
The NBA on ESPN @ESPNNBA
After trailing by as many as 14, Canada is down just 3 with 2:34 left against Venezuela. Tune in now! es.pn/1cQgwbf
He wasn't nearly as good as the past three games, but as always, he played with maximum intensity and along with Thompson, nearly willed Canada to a win, in a game they had no business winning.

I'm pleasantly pleased wit Cojo so far. He might be one of the keys to them making it back to the finals if he keeps improving. Pop will need to play him more so he can gain some confidence.
Canada's game just started http://firstrownow.eu/watch/205865/1...vs-canada.html
The Dominican team can't handle the Canadians.
I have a feeling Canada will dominate America's championships for a long time if they convince their young players to play in the summers.
Anyway CJ had 6 points in the first half
