Cojo continues to surprise me with his offensive production, he is high scorer so far. I always liked his defense.
Pop really needs to trust and use him more. Hope we see it. He just needs consistent playing time IMHO.

Canada lost and is out of the 2014 world championship. Joseph had a great tournament though, IMO he was the second best point guard just behind Barea. CJ's today statline: 19 pts 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

And yeah Argentina was flooping really hard, Canada got like 5 offensive fouls called in the second half

It seems one game he shows defense and the next offense.
One thing he does show is promise. He needs more consistency in both areas.

The four wild cards are selected by FIBA, with the teams to be announced in December.

    regarding Balkman

jean marco ‏@jeanmarcoward Miami Heat, los Lakers y su antiguo equipo, New York Knicks, figuran entre los 8 equipos de la NBA que están tras Renaldo Balkman.

Basically 7-8 teams interested in Balkman

Argentina should have lost so that Cojo could have got in. Argentina was a lock to get a Wild card, Canada is a lock not to.

P/S: Argentina's basketball overacheiving per par.

Canada had the level to qualify for the 2014 WC but they really lack of experience especially inside where Nicholson and Thompson were so gullible. Future looks great for them.

For Argentina, I'm still amazed on how they have no youth at all. They will be so bad in a few years.

That's true and Brazil isn't much better, We basically only have Lucas Nogueira and Raul Neto (both drafted this year). That's why I think Canada will dominate America's basketball for the foreseeable future

Once the golden generation hang up their sneakers they'll be barely a blip on the FIBA radar. Canada's stock is rising, though. 2 top 5 picks in three years, and Wiggins is currently slated as a top pick next year.

Small chance. I'd expect at least three of the wild cards to come from Europe.
