OK, i did the math, so here are today's scenarios: Georgia nad Poland are out, the key game is Croatia against Czech Republic
If Croatia wins, the rest of the games don't matter. Croatia, Spain and Slovenia all go through with 2 points.
If CR wins things get complicated:
If both Spain and Slovenia win Slovenia (4), Spain (2) and CR (0) are through
If only Spain loses (unlikely), there is a circle of three teams Croatia lost to spain by 28 pts, CR to Spain by 21 pts. This means again Slovenia (4), Spain (2) and CR (0) are through
If only Slovenia loses, there is again a circle of three teams: Slovenia is at 0, Croatia at +2 and CR at -2. CR is through, if they beat Croatia for more than 2 pts, we're also through, if for 1 Croatia, Spain and Slovenia all go through with 2 points, i don't know what the next tie-breaker is if they win by 2, but i think we look ok (we didnt get blown out by any team like Croatia and CR did against Spain)
If both Slovenia and Spain lose, there is a circle of 4 (!) teams with 3 wins again Slovenia (4), Spain (2) and CR (0) are through.
So, Croatia vs. the Czechs is what we should pay most attention to. There is a small chance CR win knocks us out (i'm not sure even then), but it's far superior result for second round.
Go Vesely, go Welsch!

Speaking of Vesely, an article from Eurobasket website:
Jan Vesely, The Czech Energy Pack
http://www.eurobasket2013.org/en/coi...leMode_on.html
It turns out Wikipedia has me covered:
So the next tie-breaker is overall point differential.Slovenia can only be eliminated if they lose to Poland by more than 35 points AND Czech Republic beat Croatia by exactly 2 points.
To sum it up:
A win by Croatia: Croatia, Spain and Slovenia all go through with 2 points.
A win by CR by exactly 1 point and a win by Spain and a loss by Slovenia: Croatia, Spain and Slovenia all go through with 2 points.
A win by CR by exactly 2 points and a win by Spain and a loss by Slovenia for more than 35 points to Poland: Spain (4) and CR (2) and Croatia (0).
Any other scenario: Slovenia (4) and Spain (2) and CR (0).

Bruno Is Diaw still playing with that aggressiveness you spoke of during the prep games? (I haven't watched any games don't get ESPN3 and haven't bothered with any of the streams)
rtvslo says a loss for 37 points, but I think it doesn't even matter, Poland wouldn't beat out senior team for 37p.
I think our all time worst defeat is something like 25 points, so yeah i don't see us lose by that much, least of all against Poland of all teams. I think we're safe for second round.
Replaced the points with score to make it clearer (defeat is 1 point)
Boris is playing with an adequate aggressivity. Yesterday, he was surprisingly taking shots after shots in the 3rd quarter, no matter if they're tough or not. However, I think he was a bit more aggresive during the prep games. Right now, Tony is carrying much more the load than in the firsts games of prep. So Boris is more hidden but still solid.
Tony was great yesterday, literally took the game in his hands and led France to win.
France really lacks a really good C, Ajinca is solid, but that's not it, and Lauvergne was really bad yesterday, missed a couple of easy shots. If they had Noah they would be my no1 favourites to win the championship, but without him I'd give Spain a better chance. But we will see, anything is possible and I also think that France hasn't showed their real game at this tournament yet.
To be honest France is playing a bunch of crappy teams in the first round, so it's hard to say anything solid about France at this point...
He is still fine in that area but he has faded in the past couple of weeks. He just hasn't been good in the last few friendly games (against Spain and Slovenia) and to start the Eurobasket. He has missed shots he made earlier this summer, he is looking slow and his rebounding is poor.
Parker carrying the team he is supposed to carry...nothing to see here
We will whooop Slovenias asses !!
And then go home...
Your confidence is indeed priceless.![]()
Hmm Koponen's draft rights are held by Dallas and the Spurs have been looking for a PG..
Emiliano Carchia @SportandoBasket
Marco Belinelli will NOT play today against Sweden. Travis Diener is out as well missing the second consecutive game
Bosnia has to beat Lithuania by 10+ pts to advance, Belgium can secure promotion by beating France
Resting for the tournament round?
Probably, Sweden is already eliminated so the result doesn't carry over to the next round.
