smh at anyone thinking a guy who was 0-fer-2013 could have made a positive difference in the Finals. It's no coincidence he retired at the end of the season.

At least his assists went for the Spurs.
The Spurs gave Tmac garbage minutes and when he did come in he didn't have a rhythm with his shot (which is why he didn't score a point as a Spur). Playing him with the starters and getting him comfortable might have proven otherwise. Yes, Ginobili's turnovers in game 6 came back to bite the Spurs in the Finals, bigtime. It's anyones guess what happens if Pop sat Manu the whole game 6 and played Tmac or someone else instead. It doesn't matter anymore as the Heat players have the rings and the Spurs players went home fishing. To think if the Spurs don't make it back to the Finals in 2014 how much that Finals will continue to haunt the fans. I would at least like that Spurs team to get back to that point in 2014 to redeem themselves for the Finals loss. Win or lose just getting back should be enough motivation for this Spurs team. Before they made the 2013 Finals it was six years since 2007 when they beat the Cavs they last made it in, so I hope it's enough motivation to get back there for the Spurs and all their fans. So yeah the whole Spurs team motivation for the 2014 season should be just to return to the Finals and be given another chance to win it all.
