Is it possible to have a "breakout season" right after your first "breakout season"?

Doesn't "breakout" imply that he, well, "broke out"? Like, he's proven already?
nah, there were several stories of adrian peterson's season coming off the knee surgery as a "breakout season" as well. it makes sense.

Nah. It may just be semantics, but people called AP's season "record breaking" not "breakout season". When a guy has a breakout season, the next term is usually "the next step" or "elite" or something like that. Again, it's probably semantics, but hopefully RG3 balls. He's fun to watch.

yea could be semantics but i read an article recently that described AP's record breaking season as a breakout, no biggie.

This. And even if it were within the realm of physics to break out twice, it certainly wouldn't be a phenomenon that occurs in back to back seasons.

tbh I found that write up to be pretty decent Trill You are a little overly optimistic about RG3's chances w/o seeing any live play yet, but altogether I don't have too many issues with your analysis.

we'll see. i must admit, it was good seeing so many people in this forum eat crow last year. the hate was so strong. the future is even brighter, the 2 best collegiate qb's are black!
Yea and tbh I dont even hate black qb's, I just really hate the read option so damn much.

We will have a black QB play in the SB and one play for the National Championship. Then in next seasons draft the first QB taken....black, the second QB taken...black.

Things are changing in the NFL, the athetic QB is where thngs are heading.

And yet the AFC is dominated by white quarterbacks, and the best QB's in the NFC are still Rodgers and Brees. One could argue Matt Ryan is better than Cam, Kaep, Wilson, RGIII as well

I want to put as much stress on a defense as possible. Keep them guessing. You do that with an athletic QB. I'm a firm believer in run/stop the run/win the turnover battle wins in the NFL. I want a guy back who can scoot 30 if need be, just knowing that messes with any defense. The big guys also get gassed trying to deal with a mobile QB.

And yet it hasn't really netted positive results on the whole. Of course, if your QB can run (in addition to being able to slice them through the air) its a plus, not a negative. But this new breed of uber athletic qb's haven't been able to produce SuperBowl wins, although to be fair the crop is still quite young and will have plenty of time to get there

If a holding penalty is called we do see positive results, Niners/Kaepernick world champions.

This, tbh. If anything Kap should be classified as adopted rather than black

Can't disagree too much. Vick had a pretty good game, though. All in all, not that bad of a week.
