Troll jinx fail thread 1/10
game in over sons. Just admit it.
thinking the Spurs have a chance against the Heat
LeBron 'isn't clutch'
MVP "race"
still making the mistake of thinking Wade's done
I have so have many Heat, Spur and Laker fans. But there are a few poor misguided or delusional homers that think if some random player steps up they can beat Miami ...Gtfo Season was over before it started ...unless Bron gets hurt is done, son.
miami has not been playing at their full strength through the majority of the regular season, and when they get serious against certain teams (spurs, OKC or others who are hyped to be potential challengers against us), there aren't any teams that would evenly match them imho. the only enemy to us is gonna be our complacency imho
Because there are a handful of teams that can beat the Heat in a playoff series. How quickly people forget that two teams nearly did it last year. Indiana gave them fits in the second round, and even had a series lead at one point. Boston took them to a game 7. The lack of a decent front court leaves the Heat very vulnerable. Injuries have to be factored in as well. If Lebron gets hurt, they likely wouldn't get past the second round. Anytime you think someone is a lock, just remember the 2004 Lakers.
Miami is the favorite. They will be challenged...hard...by someone, guaranteed. I'm not suggesting that will necessarily be OKC. 7 game playoff series' are a whole different story than the regular season.
I believe SA would beat Miami if they made the Finals. I think SA would have a harder time getting past OKC though. Not saying OKC is better than Miami, just saying SA is equipped to beat Miami more so than they are OKC.
Only problem is that LeBron is pretty much indestructible.
This. No major injuries ...and a complete matchup nightmare ..
lakers basically won the 2009 championship due to injuries eliminating teams for them (garnett, nelson, ginobili, yao ming, etc.). a team can hope they suffer the same lucky injury streak as them. not lebron but maybe wade goes down and then durant suffers an injury. suddenly, the championship race looks wide open.
spurs would have a decent chance to beat us if they could resurrect that blair. would do a decent job defending james at the low post during crunch minutes, while at the offensive end he would rack our asses for fun. dude has his own weaknesses but he can make a good deal of contribution if used in the right way imho (like JJB in 2011 finals)
Lakers probably don't win the le if Orlando's entire roster wasn't juiced up. Cavs would have taken that series imo.
Lake Show had too much size for the Cavaliers that year, tbh. Cleveland couldn't hang w/the Bynum-Gasol-Odom front line.
It took a simple search to find a prophet.
Not really got. His first line basically claims the Spurs had no chance, when in reality the le was theirs until they coughed it up. And Wade also looked done a lot out there he had some decent games when it counted but overall he was hurting Miami on the floor.
Not even gonna touch on the fact that someone claiming the best team in the NBA, that made 2 straight Finals appearances and won the previous one with the best player in the game, was going to win the le, is not a ing prophet...![]()
Nice try, but Heat barely made it to the Finals and barely won it. Everyone outside of Lebron(and Wade in Game 7) played like crap in the playoffs.
OP's prediction was that no one had a chance and that the Heat would basically sweep through their conference and easily win the Finals. That was not the case as Wade and Bosh played like and Bron often had to take matters to his own hands. Not really that different from 09 Cavs, tbh. 09 Mo Williams would have arguably been as good if not better than Wade as a 2nd option, at least Mo was a beast from 3 that year.
Boiled down::: YOU handed the le to them. YOU had it won.
And YOU were Swept![]()
Mo averaged 16.3 ppg and had a TS% of 53, Wade averaged 15.9 ppg on 49.8 TS% this year.
No doubt Wade had a playoffs by his standards. But when we needed him most he rose to the occasion. Except in 6 when Ray Ray did his thang and even made up for Lebron's late TOs.
Mo Williams isn't even a 2nd option, but was on such an offensively challenged team that he was lucky enough to be one. Mo hasn't had a single game in his playoff career like Wade had in game 4... on both sides of the ball (6 stls).
Mo had some decent games in 09 though, 24 points 4 assists 2 steals 9 - 14 from the field 4 - 7 from 3 against Detroit in the playoffs
In that same season, he had a 43 point 8 rebound 11 assist game vs Kings, shot 15 - 24 from the field and 7 -12 from 3 and 44 point 7 ast 3 stl game 7-9 from 3 vs Phoenix
Mo was a decent player in 09 and played a part in the Cavs regular season success. A solid 3pt shooter and a pretty efficient scorer and he wasn't that bad on D if you look at his DWS and DRTG when he was with the Cavs.
