There is no eternal . More false gospel christian mythology.
Having said that.... If you want to be in the club, so to speak, you have to follow the rules. Otherwise you're in some other club.
Your humanism doesn't override scripture. If a spouse is being abused they can leave (not divorce, not remarry) and seek help. But there is nothing that allows for divorce or remarriage out of a covenant. Frankly, your example is not the norm. What happens is two people get married and after the infatuation wears off they get bored. They meet someone at work who is exciting and then justify destroying their families. I bet there are plenty of spouses, both male and female, who get really y and rude to their other because they have a backup plan. Indeed, many get married believing they can bail anytime they want.
well, I got news for ya.... Marriage isn't easy until both partners learn how to do it. Unfortunately, too many quit before that happens.
You know all you need. A covenant marriage has been legally split apart due to pride, selfish behavior, and unforgiveness. I pray Amy repents and Tim forgives. That they return to living as husband and wife, which they are no matter what an unrighteousness court says.

You quote scripture, but say there is no when it is clearly mentioned in there numerous times.
It's okay if he believes in unicorns.
