I have an iPhone 4s w/AT&T on a 750min/mo family plan split with 3 other family members - 3 iPhones total, mother has a flip phone still and not interested in a smartphone. I get 20% off through AT&T, and our bill comes to $205 monthly. I pay about $60 of that a month.

not bad, I have offered a spot on my plan to several of my friends and none have taken me up on it, but they complain about their $100 smartphone bills![]()
Yeah, I don't get that. I'm actually using the corporate plan from my friend's company, not my own
My own corporate plan offered basically the same, but with 6 GB data. However I got $150 credit if I used my friend's corporate plan (good since I was breaking old contract). Plus I rarely use 2 GB/month.
It's nice that my mom hates smartphones too, we can use her upgrade if we feel like it
I have a corporate plan w/AT&T. 4 lines, 3 are grandfathered unlimited iPhone plans (2 S 3's and one Note and one HTC Inspire). 800 min. $240/mo.
I have two grandfathered Unlimiteds, too.
That is the only thing keeping me on ATT.![]()
I am content at least with AT&T, I know Sprint is total and utter garbage in Austin.
I have that same AT&T 750 min family plan. 5 smart phones, 2 with the grandfathered unlimited data; I also have some extras tacked on like insurance, Parental Control and the gps tracking (yes, I spy on my kids) and it comes out to right at $300/month.
I pay 72 for 500 minutes, unlimited messaging, and 5 GB of data w/ T-Mobile. I financed a Galaxy S4 with them so add $21 extra per month x24 months to pay for the phone.
I honestly don't even know the minutes on my plan. I'm on it with two other people. Unlimited messaging and data though (Grandfathered in at AT&T). I pay around 70 a month.
i pay $60 per month unlimited talk text and web (t-mobile) first 2.5gigs data 4g speed after that its throttled to 3g. they have a family plan that can come in way under what you are paying at $205 but yo uwould have to provide your own phones.
AT&T - 2 iPhone 4Ss with grandfathered 2 Gig data plan, unlimited text, Nation 550 mins (grandfathered), and insurance on both phones and our bill is $149.00 each month. If we could get less minutes we would since we never use our mins (wireless to wireless and the free nights and weekends). The 2 gig plan is borderline not enough as I get close to hitting it every month but never have.
I hit 3gb and got a message from AT&T saying if it happened again I would be throttledTurned off wireless downloads in Downcast, should take care of it.
$84 a month with sprint unlimited+insurance
Four smart phones, one regular. Four data plans. Two on the phones are unlimited voice, all unlimited messaging. The other three phones 500 minutes each. One of the data plans grandfathered unlimited. The other three 5 GB. Ends up being $247, the smart phones have insurance. The 500 minute phones get unlimited nights, weekend, and cell to cell.
i dont pay.
i get free phones from the gumit
What the is insurance? And how much does it add to your bill?
Think you pay like 5-10 per month or damage insurance thru carrier. Still a $50 and up fee for a replacement but more attractive than. $200 OOW fee lump sum if you crack screen or immerse in water
So in the term of a contract you can end up paying $120-240 for the insurance? I'd drop my phone on purpose.
When I had Sprint I bought the insurance on my BlackBerry and actually had to use it once. It was cool because I had one with the track ball thing and the one I got back from the claim was all fancy pseudo-touchscreen like it is now. But pretty sure the insurance plan has a $50 deductible or some , and they hit your monthly bill for the shipping costs. You're better off not wasting the money, using a carabiner so you don't scratch the screen with your keys and maybe checking your pockets before you jump in the pool. Simple adult stuff, and you don't get rammed for the cost of a new phone divided by the life of your contract.
Yeah, I've owned about 5 smartphones and haven't had an accident yet (except losing my iPhone 3GS a month before I was gonna replace it). Some I just won't buy insurance for.
