    No fanbase until Brees arrived

son thank you again for showing your ignorance. let us compare your Chargers pathetic fan base to the Saints fan base prior to the 2006 arrival of Brees and Payton ...

2005 season (before Katrina, before Brees/Payton)
Saints Average Attendance - 69,644 :Team Record: 3-13
Chargers Average Attendance - 66,239 :Team Record: 9-7
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2005

    2004 Season
Saints Average Attendance - 64,147 :Team Record: 8-8
    Chargers Average Attendance - 60,682
    :Team Record: 12-4
    http://slam.canoe.ca/StatsFBP/BC-FBP...ATTCOMP-R.html
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2004

    2003 Season
Saints Average Attendance - 68,612 :Team Record: 8-8
    Chargers Average Attendance - 59,878
    :Team Record: 4-12
    http://slam.canoe.ca/StatsFBP/BC-FBP...ATTCOMP-R.html
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2003

and that's just for a few years when we sucked. should I post more? do you want to see recent years as well? or is that enough for you?

son the Saints are a top 5 NFL fan base. even when we were pure they still packed 60,000-70,000 in the dome. nowadays over the last 7 years its well over 70,000 every game and a 30,000+ long waiting list for season tickets. don't step to me with ignorance .

when they played a few games in the alamodome, it struggled to sell out because there are too many fat, lazy, broke ass be@ners here.

    even more ignorance.

that was nothing more than rumors. the Saints attendance during their games in San Antonio was pathetic. let's see your city get hit with a hurricane that forces everyone in it to temporarily relocate like that and see how your ownership handles it. Benson was always coming back to NOLA.

Atlanta .... surprisingly San Diego isn't as bad as I thought. truthfully it is a shame that Clipper Nation reps them because I have met several Chargers fans at games in the past and they have been good people.

Emory University’s Sports Marketing Analytics program in Atlanta completed a study to find the most “loyal and supportive” NFL fanbases. Instead of simply finding the team with the most tickets sold, the students factored in team win/loss record, area population, median income, etc. to see which teams’ fans show up no matter what.

This gave them a “Fan Equity” ranking to show which fanbases are the most committed to their teams.

The results were fairly predictable at the top, and then got very surprising.

Atlanta's fan base is a joke. Last weekend at the Saints game, most of the Atlanta "fans" that made the trip were still wearing their Michael Vick Falcons jerseys.
