Foreshadowing the end? See the reflection?
Really cool the writers found a way to literally have Walt over a barrel in an episode where his dire predicament is the quintessential example of the phrases meaning.
...most powerful epaiode yet. I was on Team Hank but after tonight, that bas Walt. He went too far and I liked the flashback to when Walt was "still good".
Jesse is my favorite character but I think the end is near for him.
Skyler tried to stab Walt. Walt Jr lied to the police
Are u kidding me? Jesse was trash away before Walt, he should've died long time ago, Walt helped him.
Jesse has the skills/resources to do something with his life but chose to act like an emo.
Jesse worked with the police officer(that had beat him up few months ago and also manipulated him and didn't care about his life) because he didn't have the balls to do something with his own hands.
I will be very disappointed if Jesse kills Walt in the end...
I bet Walt misses Mike right now. Big time epic fail on Walt for killing Mike.
I am well aware that they weren't going to be a dynamic duo. The meth lab scene was a setup to yank that carpet out from under anyone who hoped for it. I am not one who applauds that decision. You are free to think otherwise.
I don't like characters to be treated quite so cynically. That's just me.
Apparently you don't.
Whatever.
This show is grasping at this point. JTS. Or darn close. Will be easier to tell after we look back on it.
Season Five is definitely inferior to 1-4. That's beyond dispute.

Walt would be dead now if he hadn't killed Mike. He had just wasted Mike's entire crew in Jail, and knew Mike would kill him. There were only two ways it was going down: Walt Kills Mike or Mike kills Walt.
Amazing that people are still on Team Walt. Vince Gilligan doesn't even understand that, according to Talking Bad. They said that this season seems to be Vince saying over and over "Oh, so you're still on Team Walt? What about now?" as he has Walt do something worse and more de able than the week before.
I seriously don't understand the hatred for any of these characters except Walt. If I had any lingering hope that he'd get out of this mess intact, it's gone now after this episode. He has literally destroyed every person's life on the show (not to mention the people he indirectly hurt due to gang/drug violence, the victims of the airline crash, casualties in the nursing home, etc). Yes, Skyler willingly aided Walt while she should have ran the first chance she got. And yes, Jesse probably would've been in prison or dead by now without Walt. But that doesn't excuse everything Walt did. Watching him lie and manipulate both of them over the course of the show was hard to watch at times.
That makes no sense tbh. You are talking about a 16 (17?) year old kid who just found out that his dad is a drug dealer and was arrested by his uncle. Now he shows up at their door in a panic and it's revealed that the uncle is dead. What conclusion do you think he's going to draw? At least he had the sack to do what Skyler didn't, turn him in.
Any hate for Walter Jr's "betrayal" makes no sense. He just got told that his father is a drug dealing maniac, and now an uncle who he was really close to is dead, and his father appears to be the guy who killed him. If anything, be pissed off at C.unt Mother of the Millenium, who demonized his father to him while conveniently leaving out all those details about her being directly involved in the drug empire, and planting the "Walter killed Uncle Hank" seed in Junior's mind without a shred of proof.
yeah Walt Jr is one of two recurring characters who hadn't broke bad, Gomez being the other one.
Jr simply did what he thought was best to protect his mom and sister.
Skyler has to ing die. If she survives i might seriously regret ever watching this show. I've never hated a TV character more than this. Cheese from The Wire, or maybe Billy from Six Feet Under are in 2nd place, but neither are even 1/10000th as much as i hate Skyler.
LOL, one of my favorite parts of every Monday is reading your hatred for Skyler.
Walt and Skyler should die. Marie will probably live with Walt Jr. No ing idea about Jesse.
Yeah it makes sense for Marie to survive and take the kids. I wouldn't mind seeing Marie kill Skyler, but my fantasy is for Walt to strangle that till she's lifeless. If that actually happens i will probably orgasm violently.
At least Hank died doing something he loved - Being surrounded by minerals
Yeah while Walt is the villain, I do not get the Skyler sympathy. I never liked her, but gave her the benefit of the doubt as she was being lied to about the meth cooking.
But Walt summed it up perfectly in the car - that isn't better. She needs to go the way of Lady Macbeth tbh.
So who exactly is going after Skyler next week? The nazis? Why? They have Walt's money and Jesse to cook for them. What else do they want?
If Vince Gillian wanted people to hate Walt he would've made Walt kill Brock/Hank.
After this episode Walt just gained more respect, once again he did put ass on the line for his( ) wife/traitor Flynn and Holly. Lost his money trying to save Hank.
@ calling his son a traitor. What a bizarre/twisted perspective. And he made the call the inadvertently got Hank and Gomez killed.
Big question definitely. I don't see why the Nazi's would, but they are the most probable still.
My other guesses are Feds, or people from Gus' past looking for Walt.
The description on the episode says "Events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion", which makes me think Gus' backstory comes into play.
