sooo....we lost recruits tonight, for sure, right?
Haha, let's be honest here -- that's exactly the matchup ESPN would want if we weren't sucking so hard.
sooo....we lost recruits tonight, for sure, right?
Heard rumors that LB/S Edwin Freeman named A&M leaders after last night?
Willie Lyles is going IN on Texas via twitter. @williwlyles
There are much bigger issues with this program than recruiting right now. You could bring it a class of 15 5* players and they would it up. We have two 5* runningbacks and can't run the ball.
Recruiting is the least of my concerns
Why are we concerned? MACK SAYS WE WILL STILL WIN THE BIG 12.
Not sure if it's true or not, but there are a couple of threads on Orangebloods with a few more details regarding the upcoming changes.
The jest of it is that Dodds is retiring on 12/31/13 and Mack will be replaced, if he doesn't voluntarily step down.
The wheels are in motion for some major changes.
No surprise, but it looks like Texas' chances with S Jamal Adams are slipping. He wants a program that wins and have a stable coaching staff. Texas has neither right now.
Chris Peterson could do wonders for Texas.
Sadly I don't even think A&M has much of a chance here. It's Florida all the way IMO.
DB Steven Parker haven't anything official yet and he wants to keep things a secret. But says that Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan and Ohio State are among the schools high on his list. He intends to visit Ohio State and Michigan in January, but nothing official yet.
given the current state of affairs, this thread has lost some of its luster. (it's still a great recruiting thread of course)
Why not finally start that ATM thread then....![]()
in a roundabout way, this may already be that thread
Just like Dirk Koetter (26-10) would do wonders at Arizona State? Or how Dan Hawkins (53-11) would do wonders at Colorado?
No thanks. Do. Not. Want.
Luster? It should be shut down. Recruiting doesn't even matter any more. Mack could have a class of 25 5* players and suck.
Swoopes may play Saturday:

SI: The State of Texas Football under Mack Brown

The national media is only getting started eviscerating Mack Brown.
Not only are they going to ruin the season, but now they are going to ruin our future quarterback. This regime has a fabulous track record of developing players. I'm sure Swoopes won't look out of his league or get hurt.
Max Olson reports that '16 S Collin Wilder from Katy HS will be in attendance for the Kansas State game.

'15 DB Kendall Sheffield (of Fort Bend Marshall) and '14 DT Zay'Coven Henderson (Longview) as well.
Hope you guys are doing well despite the season already being in the toilet. I've been hosting some family so I haven't been able to be on the computer much at all. I'll go ahead and start posting everything I can and my apologies if some of you have already read it. And since it's clear the AD/head coaching change is in full swing, I will post all rumors out there just so there's something exciting to talk about.
