    Rand Paul, 2016 Republican front-runner

The first eight-plus months of 2013 have convinced us of one thing: Rand Paul acts and the rest of the potential 2016 Republican presidential field reacts.

    1. Rand Paul: He’s not a clear front-runner. But, if you are looking for a candidate who can (a) raise the money, (b) has a clear and compelling message and (c) has an obvious edge in an early state (Iowa), then Paul is the only person in the top three who checks all three boxes. We repeat what we said above: Underestimate him at your own peril. (Previous ranking: 3)

    2. Chris Christie
    3. Marco Rubio
    4. Paul Ryan
    5. Jeb Bush
    6. Ted Cruz
    7. Scott Walker
    8. Bobby Jindal
    9. John Kasich
    10. Mike Pence

Colbert takes on Rand Paul’s Syria incoherence and ‘slumbering wombat’ hairstyle

Stephen Colbert skewered 2016 presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)’s “all over the place” approach to how to handle the situation in Syria, as well as the gelled snarl of curls on top of the senator’s head, which Colbert likened to a “slumbering wombat” that could “strike at any time.”

After Pres. Barack Obama laid out the case once again for military intervention in Syria Tuesday night, Paul made his own rebuttal speech, then made the rounds of the cable news shows, seeming to argue multiple cases at once for and against attacking the Assad regime.

Paul was saying over and over that he doesn’t “know whether to trust the Russian proposal or not.”

“Agreed!” Colbert said. “Death it is! Regime change! Shock and awe! Bombs away!”

Then he played a clip from another interview in which Paul said, “I think if we bomb Assad, it will become more likely that the country will become more unstable,”

and another clip in which the freshman senator direly warned of “just about any bad outcome” you can imagine if we do bomb Syria.

“Okay, I was wrong. This is the Rand Paul I agree with,” said Colbert.

“So, just to recap,” he concluded, “Rand Paul says no diplomacy, but we can’t do nothing, but no to the president’s plan and no to regime change.”

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/09/1...bat-hairstyle/

Like libertarian fans, Rand Paul is a mental midget, an idiot, a fraud, a nutjob, riding on the fringe-y coattails of his screwball father.

    KY jelly for brains!

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz’s Defund Obamacare Rally Attracts Dozens of Medicare Using Elderly People

Sens. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz’s defund Obamacare rally today turned out to be a giant bust, as the only people most interested in stopping Obamacare are old people who are already on Medicare.

Pat Robertson’s CBN Network touted the anticipated huge crowd size, “The start date for enrolling in the Affordable Care Act is Oct. 1. As the nation gets closer to that date, activists who want to defund Obamacare are putting more pressure on legislators. On Tuesday, they’re bringing thousands of protestors to Washington, D.C., for an event called Exempt America.”

Crowd shots were not often seen during the live stream of the event, and for good reason most of the people there appeared to be the typical older white Republican voters. The great irony of the rally was that many of the people who did attend the event were likely on Medicare. Those in attendance cheered on speaker after speaker as they railed against government run healthcare all the while knowing that they are recipients of one of the best healthcare programs in the country, which just so happens to be run by the government.

We know Cruz is probably very smart and so a profoundly DISHONEST demagogue and (TX bubba) rabble rouser, repeating ideological lies to get elected, but RP is just ing stupid.

"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that Christie earns 21% support when Republican voters are asked whom they would vote for if the party’s primary in their state were held today. Florida Senator Marco Rubio runs a close second with 18% of the GOP vote, followed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 16% and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul with 15% of the vote."

"As with previous surveys this year, the new CNN poll also indicates no GOP frontrunner.Seventeen percent of Republicans and Independents who lean toward the GOP say they are likely to support New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, with 16% backing Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the House Budget Committee chairman and 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee.Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky is at 13%;*"

If he wants to give guns back to felon pot heads, he should push for decriminalization of marijuana instead.

You think it's the best timing after a mass shooting to talk about giving convicted felons guns?

    Yes or no?

BTW, Obama didn't have to pander to blacks at all.

This is good, a lot of minorities get hit with non-violent "felonies" when they are young. They deserve the same rights as all Americans.

What about the violent ones of any race?

Should people convicted of shooting other people get their voting and gun rights back?
