I have already layed it out for you. I have peeled back multiple layers of the onion. If you can start by putting your tradition aside (Paul warned us that traditions of men would replace the Word of God and to thus be wary) then you might start to perceive some of the things that are in there. "Cretins are always liars and they always lie." That isn't just people from Crete. THIS IS NOT A FUN PROCESS. Jesus said that people would reject the new wine because the old wine is good enough. Being born from above is not easy or fun. And it happens very slowly. Look at Paul *AND* Peter. Heck, Paul reproved Peter for backsliding. That had to have been quite humbling for the "lead" Disciple.
I will give you another hint or two. 1) The Bible is "The Lion's Book of the Lamb." It is about ONE thing. ONE person. 2) It is a book that is written in a completely non-linear fashion. Take the book, like a deck of cards, shuffle the pages, and put it back together. That's how it is laid out. This is precisely why you have to jump all around to find correlative verses, passages, and princ iples. Indeed, there are things in Psalms, Romans, Revelation, and Genesis that speak to the exact same thing, almost down to the letter, but God changes one word and it causes you to go right past it without making the connection. He did this on purpose. I can't tell you how hard it was for me to give up my "idols" about the OT being literal and being eternal, etc. It is not easy or fun and I resisted it greatly. In that we are alike. That's the way it is supposed to be, for whatever reason (He hints at those reasons, too.).
