You sound like G. Gordon Liddy. He used to rail about people modifying words in just the manner you mentioned. "Pretty awesome." Stuff like that.

I just found it...turns out he was with someone in prison who did that. Broke his thumb.

Oh cool, since we can be saved after we die, I'll go ahead and be evil in this life.Saving all is on His timetable. You put temporal limits on salvation that do not exist. If God chooses to save us after we die then that's His prerogative. It will be far more pleasant to be saved in this life, but I see no scriptural requirement for it to be so.
The truth is veiled for God's purposes, one of which is to show mercy on the evil people.....eventually. I wouldn't want to suffer the recompense that will precede it, however.

He had some crazy stories about prison. Guy is actually quite intelligent. Not an insult to be compared to him for pointing out grammar issues.

Most people just say they are slathered in grace and can't help it. At least you choose it. I have more respect for that than just about any christian in any church. Just don't be surprised if your recompense is rather severe. Then again, since the notion of burning in a lake of fire doesn't stop the mongers and adulterers and liars in every church that claims Christ on the planet....recompense won't either.

The veil is removed in Christ. What I have learned has been with the help of an Apostle (teacher), with some direct revelation thrown in. I resisted much of it myself early on but now I have spiritual eyes and can see--at least a little. If you can't see you can't see. That's all there is to it.

I heard a story one time that he was new to some prison and people were going to kick his ass. He was in the courtyard jogging for his hour of exercise. One of the guys that wanted to give him a beating took a dump right in front of the path he had been running. Liddy adjusted his gait so his foot landed squarely in the middle of the turd pile. It went SQUISH and some of it landed on the guy who did it. He then kept running without skipping a beat. Everyone decided he was nuts and mostly left him alone. LOL

Not really sure. I don't capitalize christian. It is only used about three times in scripture and twice it is an insult. So.... There are varied salvations listed in the Bible. Well, not listed--you have to find them. It doesn't really matter. Saved is saved as far as I am concerned and I get to answer for all my sins just like anyone else--and that will not be at all fun. You better hope I am not first in line for judgment or you will be waiting a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. But COMMON salvation is not going to equate to that of the ELECT, whoever they are. (I can breakdown salvation by category later. I can't do it with a keyboard that won't flipping ENTER!)
