You sure? Who will be the backup PG? And please don't say Joksimovic.

Part of interview with Tony that concerns Spurs...

Even though you play key role for the Spurs, you always play for your national team.
TP: Yes, they asked me to play a little less, so I will be ready for next season with Spurs(laugh). I have great relationship with the franchise and I am satisfied that Pop understands my wish to play for my national team. I'm proud to play for France.

Do you think you can fight for a ring in NBA again?
TP: Definitely, Belinelli is huge gain for us. Coach Pop will do amazing work again, because me and Manu will play a little less minutes, and because younger players like Green and Kawhi are getting better and better. I think we will have our chance again. As a player you always want to win, even if you do not succeed every time.

Have you ever dreamed about Ray Allen's 3 in Game 6?
TP: No, it's basketball, it's life. I am lucky to have won the NBA 3 times already. When I'm 95 and dying, I will definitely not think about Game 6. I am completely satisfied with my achievements so far.

Was it harder to lose Eurobasket final or NBA finals?
TP: Definitely it was harder for me to get over that loss to Miami because we were so close to winning.

I think Belli is gonna help the Spurs a lot. An active, mobile, confident player who seems to really really like to play, with enough talent to really help.

He has a great court vision, at least as far as I have seen in those games at Eurobasket.
And he seems to be clutch - he hit another nearly buzzer beater at the end of 1st half.

Crap, Belinelli just hurt his left knee going to the basket, thought he banged knees but it wasn't the knee near his defender, he is still out there playing though, doesn't seem to be limping anymore

Lithuania taking over, actually running plays, Italy just running around screens looking for shots...

The size of Lithuania on both sides of the court is the difference late in the game.

Well Italy clearly needs to get a playbook and some bigs.

77-81, Italy had their chances but big scoring drought to start 4th was their downfall

Nope, I translated the interview from Slovenian media: http://www.sport-tv.si/d183488/Novic...n_Spursom.html But interesting to see the opposite in different article. Maybe our journalist got him wrong.

Datome disappearing in the 2nd half was the key. maybe his hurting knee. and Aradori's mistakes.

I liked what Allesandro Gentile showed in this game and during the whole championship. almost became the teams top scorer. (14.7 PPG, Beli has 15.1). he is still only 20 and will be in the draft next year. mocks have him as a 1st round bubble, so he definitely will be in the Spurs range. a bit slow, but strong and the kid definitely can score is and quite a potential mismatch when he plays the 2.
