Yes, Trayvon got what he deserved. Striking Zimmerman's head on the edge of the sidewalk could have been lethal.

Did you see the photo with the long strait gash at the back of his skull? That was from the edge of the sidewalk. A bit more force, and his skull could have been caved in.

Funny you want to call straw man after bringing up unarmed children when we were specifically discussing the Zimmerman/Martin situation.
Simple assault.............LOL. In this situation it could only be considered simple assault because Zimmerman ended the attack. Had Zimmerman not been armed to defend himself he could have been beaten to death or suffered serious head injuries, then we are looking at murder or aggravated assault for Martin.
I can't answer your question specifically because it was a stupid question, not all assaults are the same. Each victim will respond differently depending on how threatened they feel. If they are armed and feel they need to use it to protect their life, more power to them.
Not everyone curls up in a ball like you when being assaulted.
