Deep bro
?
Don't be asses -
it is a relevant topic -
I guess there is no t & a, no garbage, no flaming - lol....
butthurt...is that you?
calling all butthurt....
good start.
I think there could be a ton of short films made on this subect.
You're asking people to not be asses?!![]()
I hate people and their never ending obsession with their phones.
I was addressing the two asses who chimed in with off-topic garbage fyi
I haven't been out socializing much lately - but is this video an exaggeration? Or pretty spot on?
Have you seen a lot of this?
We can't really put the genie back in the bottle now, can we? So is this what we can expect from now on?
Thought the video was great. In So Cal you see couples in restaurants / coffee shops all the time that don’t say a word to each other because they are on their I Phones…
...yeah, there must be something that - a guy could think of doing with that chick while lying in bed...hmmmm?
It's everywhere. And this is the world we now live in unfortunately. Driving while texting is the worst (even though it's not directly in the social environment). I decided to take a walk to pick up food earlier, and saw two women looking down at their phones while probably going around 40 miles per hour.
In a direct social setting I find it disrespectful if it's excessive. What's excessive? That's for each person to decide. But with each new generation, and the further development and infatuation with technology, social etiquette gets worse and worse.
I've seen couples playing Words with Friends against each other while sitting at the same table. Pretty pathetic![]()
Wait, so are you really asking if society has gotten to the point that cell phone use has become this relevant?
Yup,
Driving? Oh I have seen that a lot - and being the old fart that I am becoming - this pisses me off to no end- but what can you do?
Very dangerous and getting worse every day...
Just asking if people have personally experienced this kind of thing in their life...
Of course they have. Most people would be my guess too.
It's true, people who own smartphones have used them.
So, is this putting you off?
Is it changing how you feel among friends? Is it just acceptable now? etc...
Thx!
Very informative there Capt. Obvious!
Not really. It's what people do. They are connected now 24 hours of the day. If I'm at lunch with clients and my phone beeps, I'll check emails, send texts, etc....It's not like this is a new phenomenon either, it's been happening for the past 10 years. I find it more shocking that you're just now noticing.
I find it even more shocking that you're just now noticing, while typing on a forum that connects people from all over the world.
Pay attention to what's going on around you.
