I am not just noticing - but I just noticed that video - and that is all.
Wait, the video is called "I forgot my phone"?
So she'd be doing all this stuff if she didn't keep forgetting her phone in all these situations.
I am not just noticing - but I just noticed that video - and that is all.
But you asked everyone based on the fact that you don't go out much if this video was "spot on" or not....so you sort of are just now noticing.
Funny you should say that - because it appears that not too many people are paying attention nowadays -
because they are busy with their smartphones...lol.
Well, let me ask you, do you have a smartphone?
So, does this really have to turn into a little -fest?
Just let people chime in with their experience ok?
I don't get out much - but I have seen glimpses of this behavior portrayed in movies, tv shows, etc...
Just wondering how bad it has gotten for some and their dealings with this.
Ok with you?
Thanks.
Do you have a smartphone?
My I-Phone has a compass & leveler...Which comes in handy if you are lost & need to build a fence or something...
LOL. I've actually used the level quite a few times.
I honk if someone is looking down at their phone; if I'm in a particularly bad mood, I act like I'm swinging my steering wheel of my truck towards the idiot. That usually gets the best reaction.
Hopefully that last part was a joke - because someone could report you for that - even though the texter was the idiot.
SHould they fax the report in?
911 text
While driving?
Who's going to report that?
LOL...I was just ing with you.
Honestly though SBM, I'm a little surprised that you've never had the scenarios in that OP pop up in your life. happens all the time to everyone. The world is changing (has changed). Personal relationships that occur face to face are no longer common...it's just the way it is.
And kids are being raised this way...which means it's here to stay.
The guy that was texting would report the guy that pretended to throw his truck at him because he was pissed that the guy was texting while driving and incited his road rage----got that?
Yeah, but texting 911 while driving is illegal, so someone would need to report that too.
Got that?
Why the would anyone text in a 911 situation?
The crimes being discussed in this thread pale in comparison to the one's avante is admitting in the "pedophile" thread.
So was I...
Well, I guess I am lucky that I have a wife who isn't strapped to her phone all the time - so if we are enjoying each others company - we don't take calls. When we go do stuff - either the phones are off - or at least one of the phones stays home because we really aren't that important that we need to be "in touch" or "connected"
If we are at a restaurant - phones are definitely off. If we are talking - phones are secondary to our conversation. If she calls me while I am driving - I usually don't even hear it because of the music - but if I do - I don't even answer because I can check it when I arrive to my destination and vice/versa if I am calling and she is driving.
At work - no phones are allowed whatsoever.
On the very rare occasion that I or we socialize - our phones are either in the car or turned off because we are enjoying the event and the company - but some friends take calls and do whatever they wish - but I had not really noticed that they were obnoxious as portrayed in that video IMO.
Just my experience....
Here is a relevant tune;
Well I was joking with johnsmith so - disregard...
okey dokey
Personally, I don't really have a problem with it. It's the direction society has been heading and it will keep going that way for the forseable future. However, my kids aren't getting phones until they drive. I see no reason for that.
I also seem to be in the minority on that one...which is weird to me.
Eh, if it bugs you, don't be emo like the girl in the video. Just speak up. People can work out when to use or not use in situations like dates, bed, etc.
I'm sure you didn't literally mean that![]()
Who's being "emo"
