No one cares about mix cassette tapes played in trucks while driving drunk.
That doesn't mean anything to me. I would rather listen to Robert Johnson than some boring white dude cover Robert Johnson. It's not a difficult concept.

It's real obvious you know..0...about Kelly Joe Phelps.
So tell me who do you consider the...must listen...?
any list has to start with Poopshoot Magoo
Right. Like I told you on the other thread . . . I know who he is and his music doesn't do much for me.
If you mean, who would I recommend to you . . . nobody. However, here are tons of musicians and bands I would recommend to someone more open minded.
Poopshot Magoo was born Isacc Convington in Hutchison Missouri n 1903, his dad was retired Army. Dad also played mandolin in a local jug band...King Manley and His Jug Blowers. Isacc grew up listening to the music. As you know Poopshots signature song was the classic.."I Got No Teasin' Brown Anymore"...was a big hit regionally and the biggest hit Black Robe Records ever had. Poopshot died in prison in 1943, he was there for ice picking the ice man to death, thought he was chillin' with his wife.
It is going to be real hard to beat an innovator like Robert Johnson no matter what color you are.
Robert Johnson was/is on a whole other level. His sound is unlike anything else ever heard before or since.
It's "Poopshoot", not "Poopshot"...imbecile.
There was no Poopshoot Magoo moron, but there was a Poopshot.
No, there was also a Poopshoot Magoo.... he's really obscure, though, it's a shame you couldn't find him on Google, tbh.... easily the best pre-war blues ever made....
Google...not for me...I just know this stuff...the real bluesmen are those you can't find on the internet...nope...you just would have had to be lucky enough to know someone who knew someone who knew about those guys...the guys that didn't make records because...well...they didn't have access to any type of recorder...only way you'd ever hear their music? yes...you'd have to know someone who could play it
As to Poopshoot, they say he was the first to ever play the E7 on the 7th fret.
Dude, there is bluesman I;m not aware of.....trust me!
There was no Poopshoot Magoo.
It's nice for you to finally admit it
Why the silly kid stuff?
Paste
(actually, I'm copying this out of an old blues magazine, "Negros That Played Blues")
Poopshoot Magoo - lived life in obscurity but widely recognized as the father of the E7 chord on the 7th fret and well as the pioneer of two hand tapping. While most of his music was left unnamed, he has been credited with writing "Boozy Britches" and "Snuggle Bear Blues".
Little man, Blind Moses recorded both those songs in 1926 while doing time in Angola prison. He wrote them. So why the crap?
