And it should not matter if you are Christian, Jewish, Moslam, non-denominational, agnostic, or atheist to be able to feel that way for him. , you can be Wiccan for that matter and wish him well. Lets's just keep faith out of this.

There's much more that goes into what Christ is saying, but your opinion doesn't seem to have much merit.

The word is porneia. It refers Jewish betrothal "divorce" as in Joseph and Mary in Matthew 1. This is why Jesus was mocked for being born of fornication (porneia)--not sexual immorality--in John 8:41.

The wide translation of porneia is incorrect. Adultery is moichea, not porneia. Jesus used both words in contra distinction.
