Very true. Laker fan was saying that and the Lakers had other worldly talent last year and failed miserably under Kobe. That was a pretty big blemish on his top 15-20 all time status. However, they re-tooled in a major way this year bringing in all sorts of unbelievable talent (like Swaggy P) to help Kobe get to number 6. There is no way that Kobe, as amazing as he is, will not make the finals with the deck so stacked in his favor. If he fails to win with this team, he is never going to be in the top 20 conversation. Still great and fun to watch, but not top 20.

The lakers have not gotten "other worldly talent" and nick young is not an upgrade. They are worse than last year. Look for either draft balls or 8 7th seed getting swept next year
