Carlos Vela is coming
Damn, that is a stupid rule. If he gets called up and accepts that should be enough to not make him eligible for any other NT.He cried for like 10 minutes or something like that. Lil got tbh.This is why i dont want these mercs on the team..
But yea he was called up but he never stepped foot on the pitch so he was still eligible for mex.
Typical. They spend years asking themselves should we call them up or not and once they do the players are on their way down. Same happened with Guille.

Yeah I'm guessing that would be part of the reason he'd be returning.. which is what we want really, but he really needs to start meshing with the team again.

Wait so Vela isn't coming anymore? I was watching Raza Deportiva and they gave the list of the one's who play in Europe, Gio, Hernandez, Aquino, Ochoa are all being called up.
No Guardado and Vela.

IronMaxipad was right. Coach should have been Bielsa or someone disconected from the Mexican Footballing Mafia. Vucetich has been influenced into not calling on Vela for political reasons... so that FEMEXFUT can continue to push and hammer their point: "our methods and decisions shall not be questioned!"
Why keep calling up players like Torrado, Salcido, and Rafa Marquez? Why call up 4 goalkeepers? They're keeping the same weak mentality players that has Mexico in this position to begin with.
Fernando Arce? That guy has never done anything of significance with the NT (regardless of his performance on his club team). He gets pushed around by the opposition and gets beat to most 50/50 balls. It's exasperating for me to watch that guy or Torrado on the pitch.

Wasn't he going to Real Sociedad? I don't get them really, Jonathan wanted to stay attached to the "name" Barcelona only, cause of the prestige or whatnot, but in result he ended up being benched and not getting the opportunity to be a consistent starter, that's what he gets. Javier is another example, he scores goals when his given the opportunity and that's good, but he wants to stay attached to the name "Manchester" too, he could go anywhere really, he should have gone to Athletico de Madrid, their doing really good, but he wont develop as a player by just being at the bench, he needs to play.
The chances of Vela being called up again are gone, he really is a little diva isn't he, he probably wants to play for Spainboy how quickly they forget what kind of blood they have running through their veins.
What a diva piece of crap. Tbh it looks like the problem wasn't with Chepo, maybe Vucetich didn't guarantee him the starting spot, but why would he deny him that? Na I think Vela just can't take the pressure.
It wasn't Vela that closed the door. I'm convinced he wasn't included in the call up at the request of the FEMEXFUT directives.
The Mexican media is singing a different tune, they say he closed the door cause he felt he wasn't going through a good time, which now that I think about it it doesn't make sense, Vela is playing really good at Real Sociedad. Who know's tho, who cares now anyways, just don't call him ever again.

If Vela doesn't want to come for what ever reason then so be it. From the outside it looks like he's not committed to the National team and playing for el Tri is not important for him right now.
