And any haters should hang there too. He has been a nucleus of our team for so long, and has multi-championship pedigree. Most Manu-Haters are probably Lakers fans trying to hate because they're so depressed. Well, look on the bright side, you might have lost DH but you gained...uh...well, surely they gained somebody, I saw one of the floor-sweat-moppers hit 2 free throws in a row, maybe they'll sign him. There can be no arguments about that.
No matter what happened recently in the 2013 playoffs, nothing can erase his value to the Spurs, and greatness to the fans and the sport of basketball.
This is not homerism or Manuism, it is definite fact.
Anyone who says it isn't is nothing less than a fan of another team other than the Spurs, pure and simple fact.

Way to go out on a limb there buddy. You act as if the people criticizing Manu haven't explicitly stated they know he used to be a beast but are living in the present and not the past. We all know he deserves to be in the rafters but he played like garbage last season, no way around that. Getting really sick of thestop hating on manu

His legacy will also forever be tarnished in the eyes of non-homer Spurs fans. He's got two years to prove the doubters like myself wrong. Now if the Spurs don't win another championship by the time he retires, oh boy, a lot of us Spurs fans will not shed a tear the day he retires. I'll actually be kind of glad tbh.

Come on, stop apologizing for 2013 Manu. He sucked. His one shining moment (gamewinner against the Warriors) occurred less than a minute after taking a horrible, horrible contested 3 — one of many.
Everyone knows Manu was great back in the day. He'll have his jersey retired and he'll be a first ballot hall of famer.
That doesn't mean you have to continue to parrot this falsehood that Manu was key to getting to finals in 2013. Fact is, he was flat out terrible for 80% of the past season and postseason.
You can recognize his former greatness while also acknowledging the fact that he's not that great anymore.

I, for one, can recognize Manu the farm in the last playoffs, and I have said as much in many posts just like this one now.
However, I would have been a lot more critical had it not been for the Manu haters trying to ram it down our throats so damn much.
They could have shared their opinions like most of us do and allowed for decent debates, but instead they resorted to wrongly placed insults in order to try to win their arguments.
