Anyone that thinks this was a poor showing by UTSA is a re . Would've loved the win but hanging around with teams like UH is unheard of for a third year program.

I root for UTSA in any game not against UofH.
I'd love for them to get some games against horn and baylor in the future and pull some upsets.
Btw any idea if the school will build an on-campus stadium if the not so distant future?
We got a series with Baylor coming up in 2015 I think. A&M in 2016. We gotta win games like today's though before we have a chance with the elite.
Signed a deal with the Alamodome through 2035. An on-campus stadium is atleast 2-3 decades away.Btw any idea if the school will build an on-campus stadium if the not so distant future?
I got to watch the entire game. Soza messed up so many times. Just terrible misses, no composure in the 4th and completely let a winnable game slip from his hands. They played well up until that point, but they relied too much on a QB who does not appear talented enough to compete when things get tough against average to above average compe ion.
Houston didn't pull its starters in the 4th so lolutsa couldn't make it's comback against 3rd stringers

He was amazing prior to his first INT. After that the wheels completely fell off.
Yep.............completely agree.
U of H will compete for the conference this year so not a bad loss. in the end, UTSA just does not have the depth.
Disagree.
just fell apart late.
C-USA West looks pretty wide open. I can be pollyannish about their chances.
I agree with the " just fell apart late" part, but to me Soza played a large role. Not just the turnovers, but there were a couple key bad throws to open receivers late that were just flat out bad misses. He had time, had been completing those throws earlier, but got rattled late in a close game against a decent team. It's not the end of the world, was just one game and overall they looked pretty good.
Schaub Syndrome tbh.
What key throws? The picks were huge but before that he was probably playing the best game of his career.
I thought UTSA came unglued after that missed INT fell in a Houston receiver's hand for a touchdown. When a team goes into panic mode with inferior talent, its not good.
I don't know the name of the WR(s), but IIRC, in the fourth quarter near the redzone there were two wide open throws that Soza missed. I remember watching shocked he couldn't complete such wide open plays. I believe both were on key third downs as well.
Soza was never in the redzone in the 4th quarter tbh.
