she wasnt boxed in, but she had the barrier ahead of her and was only able to go reverse, and surrounded by 5 armed cops. at that point, one of them just has to say "cover me" and reach in and grab her. its not like she had a gun pointed at someone that would have prevented them from doing that. the only logical explanation for that not happening is that they got scared and were content to hide behind their guns instead of taking action.

That isn't the only logical explanation. The action in the video I saw happened very quickly and I'm sure all the officers were taken aback by the presence of the child. The fact they didn't shoot at that point tells me all I need to know about the initial encounter.

she just drove away? Does any of the DC cops have a set of e strips
in the trunk of their car? You could see her passing cop cars in the video

I lived in DC for 12 years, Im more than aware where you can and you cant around. Im not arguing that this woman should have got a slap on the wrist, nor that the presence of the baby changes the way things should have been handled.

Im questioning how many police men, how many weapons, how much surveillance and how many barricades you need to control an unarmed woman in a car. Considering that they ended up shooting her dead anyway, whats the excuse for letting her rampage around from one place to another? Were they waiting for a squadron of tanks and a couple of drones to contain her?

Even if the doors were locked, her passenger side window was open (one of the police men sticks his gun inside) and the driver side window could have been broken. Its just incredible to me that the police strategy was to point their guns and hope she stopped. As police states go, a lot of bluster, a bunch of forces mobilized, pushed around, resources destroyed, and they still got their hands covered in blood- pretty terrible results IMO

I counted at least 7 officers, 5 firearms, 6 vehicles, the perp got away and continued damaging property/ putting others in danger and they still ended up using lethal force. as a citizen and a taxpayer do you think that is acceptable performance yes or no?
