This Lakers team has all kinds of real friendships...I have a good feeling about the season....

Nick Young and Jordan Farmar are good friends since high school and known as Peanut Butter and Jelly....

Young couldn't make the grades to attend college so Farmar my cousin (who's half Jewish) lent Young his study guide and after the 3rd attempt young scored an 890 on his SAT's enough to get him in...


Meanwhile Young and Farmar both idolize Kobe....

When Young learned the Trojans would get to use the Lakers' locker room at Staples Center for the Pac-10 tournament, he quickly snagged Bryant's locker. That wasn't all he took.


"I ended up taking one of his leg sleeves and played in the game with it," Young said. "If you go back and look, you'll see I had cardinal and gold on with a purple leg sleeve and a yellow knee sleeve."

Farmar one-upped Young when the Lakers made him a first-round draft pick in 2006, and he went on to win NBA les as Bryant's teammate in 2009 and 2010.

I'm expecting the Lakers to look really good offensively. Swaggy P and Farmar are two big reasons why. They wanted to take paycuts to be Lakers and they've known each other's game (chemistry) for many years. We should have one of the most athletic teams in the league. Wes Johnson, Swaggy P and Farmar are all athletes with hops. Then when Kobe returns, look out.

This Laker team will be fun to watch. Most players are playing for their next KT on one year deals. Call this season an audition for all of them. Whether they stay past this year or play somewhere else, expect maximum effort when they are out there. MDA's offense is known for inflating players' stats. Here's hoping that trend continues. The only thing I'm worried about is defense.

Duuuuuuh-wight didn't disclose his SAT scores - what's your point? And before you go there, Kobe's SAT scores would have gotten him into Duke, and it was higher than LeBron's.
