yeah. i've been a proponent of drafting a fat defensive lineman for a while now. i really wanted Raji that year, wanted Ngata over Huff during that draft, and wanted Lotulelei this year. that said, if we were going to draft a receiver (because our leading WR the previous year was Johnnie Lee ing Higgings), Crabtree was the obvious choice during that draft. Harvin, Maclin, Nicks were all there too.
Are you already looking towards next years draft?

yes and no. this season is a big audition for a lot of guys, so i want to see how it plays out. want to see if Pryor can sustain what he's been doing. a lot of our new guys on D are on 1 year deals. so i'm still having fun with this year, knowing we aren't a competing team anyway. we need to address the trenches, bad. we cant get any pressure with our front 4 alone, and our guards are probably the worst in the NFL right now

As of now, who do you think is likely to stick for next years team?

Lamarr Houston, Jared Veldheer are virtual locks to be brought back. If Charles Woodson wants to lace em up for another year, they'll reward him. They'll probably bring back Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins (both were signed to 1 year deals, and its not like we have plenty of alternatives). I believe we have Kevin Burnett already locked up for another year, we have Roach for a few. We already extended Marcel Reece. McFadden is good as gone. I doubt Jacoby Ford will be brought back. While I hope they focus mostly on the trenches, they also have a need for a true #1 receiver. Somebody who can win jump-balls. Tight end is a question mark. Had high hopes for Ausberry but he's been injured every year, so thats another concern
