    Right now Texas football is eating a sandwich, but this program is not devoid of talent nor is it in a situation where even if it gets good it still has mountains to climb. That is the situation Arkansas is in.

    Texas is one good coach away from being back in conference contention and a solid QB away from being a national contender.

    This. As much of a mess as they are in, they still have LOTS of talent, which is simply being mismanaged by poor coaching. A good coach EASILY wins the Big-12 this year with this roster.

    I put little stock in these type of statements. Simply put him coming out and saying this protects him in case he interviews and doesn't get the job. Now he is free to talk behind closed doors without fear of burning bridges. If he gets the offer and accepts he can say he had no intention but Texas sweetened the deal and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. If he doesn't get the offer no big deal he already publicly turned it down.

    Mack also made a similar statement before Texas came calling.

    One of the top players in the class of 2015 Keisean Lucier-South from Orange, California seems to grow on Texas. Tweetet about he hoping they would make the upset and just tweetet "Great win Texas #HOOKEM". He's definitely a guy I would keep an eye on when 2015 recruiting really starts taking off.

    EDIT: I know he has an offer and he has been mentioned in here briefly before.

    makes me wonder if case just does an overall better job of rallying the team. it always seems like the team plays better when he starts even though he's not anything compared to his brother.

    no. The team just wanted to beat OU. Case was lucky the game wasn't closer when he threw that pick 6 and threw one of the worst passes I have ever seen to a wide open reciever.
