He was very straight forward just before the POs saying that De Colo got the job only to give it to Cojo a few days later so I wouldn't read too much into it... Cojo has to play better to keep his spot...

So, in other words, De Colo will likely be traded mid season or isn't a part of Pop's long term plans. It's hard to see De Colo win the battle of backup SG over Manu or Bellineli.

Yeah, because they have stron basketball culture. No, that won't happen. It should be a Greek, Spanish, Russian, Serbian or Lithuanian, because these countries have basketball culture.

That's why I said his future with Spurs looks bleak. And, sorry for you, but it also seems the case with Mills. As projected 3rd string PG, it won't get regular playing time.

NBA doesn't care about basketball culture. They care about money. Right now, there is only one Euro city that host regular NBA season games and it's London. Paris will likely also have some regular season games when they will have renovated their arena.

Stern initial project for an Euro expansion was London, Paris, Berlin, Milan and Barcelona. He is targeting the biggest and richest countries/cities.

Patty's competing against Cojo, which is a far more compe ive battle, imo, than De Colo against Ginobili and Bellineli for the backup SG spot.
