why his jumpshoot is miss ...
I'm actually kind of interested in keeping Kabongo. It's probably a long-shot though. But if the team were honestly considering moving away from De Colo then we'd probably want another PG on the roster other than just Parker and Joseph. Kabongo could be that guy. And as a 14th or 15th guy on a bare bones minimum contract it would be a respectable enough signing.
I have been touting Kabongo since I first read about him.
He was supposed to be a lottery pick but got into various unfortunate situations that sidetracked his career.
I think he might have a brighter upside than Cojo.
Maggette struggled, and that blown rebound was just awful... He got a few good looks tho from the corner and a couple mid range shots, but just isn't knocking them down. He started to force the issue a little. Playing in a b2b with the al ude may have affected it, plus the fact that he hasn't played in so long.
I was expecting to see he was cut today but I guess we'll see what happens. Maybe he'll get 1 more crack at it. The first game he played he wasn't that bad, so maybe he'll have another opportunity.
They cut Young early. I bet Maggette gets the axe early too.
maggette was so bad last night he made the manu of last year's finals look like an all-star. he lacked confidence in his shot, could not finish and was terrible.
So, who is hosting his retirement party, McGrady, SJax?![]()
So is Maggette this years version of last years McGrady?
I think they will cut him. Spurs don't usually have a maxed roster to begin the season. Last year we picked up Baynes, then the year before that we picked up Mills and Diaw during the season. I think the Spurs will hold their 15th spot.
I also think they'll send Kabongo and Air Force to the Toros. They have potential.
I think Maggette can good offence except shoot.
But his jump shoot is too poor.

Kabongo and Maggette, sad to hear, Pop going with the exact same PGs that didn't cut it last year and no back up SF to relieve a player with tendinitis... What do they say about doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome...
lmfao those 8-10 minutes a night of inconsistent ass Belinelli at 2 and Manu at backup 3 will be painful
and if I got cut from a team with Nando ing De Colo still sitting on the sidelines I'd retire too
Other teams getting better while the Spurs pretty much remain the same. Same story, different season.
Best of luck to you, Corey!

From Maggette's friend: "The Spurs loved him. Pop and the staff wanted him. He's a good fit for their culture & system. All a health issue."
