Jordan thought Brown was y and disrespectful sometimes, particularly when the teenager nagged him about playing a one-on-one game, hinting that doom awaited him. Finally, Jordan agreed to the game, Brown grinning on the court, convinced his youth and height would be indefensible weapons against this shorter man twice his age. Early in the game, believing he had a lunging, jabbing Jordan off balance, the kid dared to say, "You reach, I'll teach." Jordan snapped, "You teach, and I'll knock you on your damn ass." He proceeded to humiliate Brown, mocking him while scoring at will, declining to help him up when the teenager fell hard to the floor, winning lopsidedly and, at the end, yelling at Brown to acknowledge his superiority in front of the team: "You better call me 'Daddy,' (expletive)." "Michael was breaking him down," one observer recounted, "probably to build him up. But there was a lot of breaking down."

A great leader would have understood who can take what sort of motivation.

While Kwame was most definitely a wuss, a better leader would have found ways to motivate and get the best out of him instead of destroying him.

Nothing surprising. Heard similar stories. MJ still a bad ass but soooo far from the perfect player some people choose to remember. He took bad shots (though nothing like Kobe or AI) and berated and punched team-mates. But he won, had a nice smile and promoted his brand.

Still the GOAt but not untouchable. Lebron still has an outside shot tbh ...

Agree. Kobe suffers from the same disease. But it worked with Pippen it eventually destroyed his bond with horace Grant. MJ and Kobe never studied "Situational Leadership". They old school my way or the highway types ...

Pop might of been great for Kwame tough, but caring. Collins and Mj was a bad elixir ...

In an attempt to be like Mike, Kobe was also tough on his parents. Then they disowned him and auctioned all the gifts he had given them over the years.

agree on this. would've been interesting to see what Pop could do with Kwame. and part of MJ's asshole behavior was certainly not helped by the NBA covering for his ass.

The triangle is great for post players who can pass (Shaq and Pau found great success). Wings who can pass Kukoc, Pippen and to a lessor degree Kobe and MJ. And scorers who want spacing: Mj, kobe shaq. spot up shooters also benefit from the floor spacing (kerr, paxson, fisher, Shaw Hodges, Horry) It is not good for dribble heavy players which is why Mj struggled some early with it and kobe "fought it" even though it was the best offense for him.

Yawn. Preying on the weak-minded. What happens when he plays a real alpha dog? This:

About the 0:57 mark, Air Jaundice gets a breakaway dunk and is smiling. Seething at this point, Kobe calls him a . Then he proceeds to drop 8 3-ptrs right between his jaundiced eyes en route to a 42-point half and a cool double nickel for the night. He lucky JVG (think Knicks-Bulls rivalry) wasn't our coach that night instead of PJ. Wilt's record would have fell with 6 minutes left in the game tbh.

I think the conclusion is that he is a class-1 a-hole, regardless of whether he is playing basketball or not.

That's why the Bulls team was well constructed. You have an psychopathic ego-maniac as an alpha with the skills to match, a versatile Robin who is willing to direct traffic, take blame, and admire the out of Jordan, you have a rebounder/inside player in Grant/Rodman to do the dirty work, you have mid-range shooting big man to open up the lanes and the lowpost for Jordan, and you have a bunch of 3 point shooters to space the lanes.

As much as people hate Jabba-the-Krause, he was a genius in creating that team by putting the right pieces together.

Prime Kobe vs. Washington Jordan is a fair comparison, I agree with you.

Also, with Lue, Stackhouse and Parg guarding Kobe throughout, and Lakers putting Fox and George on Jordan. Washington putting horrible defensive players and no double teams on Kobe even when Kobe was going off, while Lakers putting their best on Jordan. Only time Kobe scored on Jordan were bail out fouls.

For comparison's sake, an over-the-hill Jordan scored 36, 30, 27, and 31 points on Kobe.

Kwame was a ing pussy, he called out MJ and wanted to play him 1 vs 1, Kwame got a bit over his head after being picked 1st and he was often slacking in practice and playing video games instead of working on his game, MJ flipped on him and rightfully so. Kwame never had a desire to be great, he was just 7 ft tall with big hands and some athleticism, never reached his potential, didn't work on his hands or his defense, he should have been way better.
