Spurs remaining the same. They've upgraded from Blair to Ayres. The jury is still out on Belinelli but he should be better than Neal. Leonard, Baynes and Joseph should all be improved.
It's not like Maggette was really going to help. He looks done.

Id rather have last years mcgrady
Wow, that's unfortunate.
Best of luck to Maggette.
What health issue?
About five or so years too late for Maggette on this team.
He's done in terms of playing at a high level in the NBA, in terms of actual basketball skill he would crush anyone in street ball, or a local Y game. Often players just regress and that is why they retire early, it really takes alot to play this game at a high level night in, night out, eventually it goes away sadly, that's life. People always see players retire from the NBA and say they are done, to old, blah blah. Most of those players are more athletic than your average joe but the body starts breaking down and these players freakish athletic skills just go poof.
It also shows that having a great/muscular body doesn't mean that you still have your athleticism. I made the mistake thinking that he might still be all right physically just by looking at him. There's obviously something wrong with him physically, or he has some kind of injury.
Do you guys think that the health issue is an injury or that he has declined too much physically?
btw Bruno, what do you think about Pietrus? Is he a possibility at all? What's your personal opinion of him as a player for this Spurs team (taking money and contracts out of the equation)?
Don't know what Bruno will say. I am curious too.
But I think he wants a guaranteed contract, and teams are reluctant to give him one, that is why he hasn't signed with anybody, or anyone hasn't signed him.
No
Tmac came close to winning a le
VERY close
Well done to Cory, one of my all time favorite Spurs
I guess he could be a possibility but I don't like it. Pietrus has been a lot injured in the past few years and has surely lost a lot of his athleticism. another issue is that he is quite small/light for what the Spurs need. If Spurs add another SF, he should be significantly bigger/stronger than a player like Green. Young and Maggette were quite small but they were also very strong player.
Pietrus also worked out for Spurs in September so it's a given Spurs weren't thrilled by what they saw from him.
So let me get this straight, if I share an opinion that you disagree with that automatically makes me a troll, and I can F-off...umm...okay Joseph Stalin.
Any person could see that Manu had no confidence, and was in a funk in the Finals. Pop was trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip and it totally backfired.
Did you miss the part where I stated that I still had much respect for Pop, our were you too busy reading Mao's Little Red Book to notice?
Two words.....calm down
Oh OK, I guess we can scratch him off the list then. If the Spurs already worked him out, then I guess they weren't that impressed with him.
Good God, some people need to sack up. I claimed Leonard had a bad game the other night and everyone started ing like a little girl. Opinions vary, get the over it.
Did you even watch the game? I don't think you did.
Yes I did. Am I as knowledgeable as you are when it comes to basketball? no. But like I said, opinions vary. People just start calling you an idiot and whining when people disagree with them. Was he good on defense? I though he was good but not great. His free throw shooting was also terrible. Nice assist and what not but I really wasn't that impressed. I thought since the big 3 were out he would be able to thrive as the first option.
