A couple things. First, excited as to see what he can do. Second, I hope Kubiak's conservative ass playcalling doesn't ruin him. Third, find out if need to draft a QB. Fourth, Kubiak's job is finally on the line.

I don't think its wise to throw him in against the Chiefs though

There is no time for training wheels. It's the perfect test. If he goes out there and beats a good Chiefs team or looks really solid in a loss when know he's the guy.

Could be a confidence booster if he wins. More upside than not, plus Yates is basically a Schaub clone, but worse

yeah but it could wreck his confidence if the Chiefs defense does what they've been doing. It's his first NFL action and its against one of the best defenses. you don't want the kid to get s shocked if you think he has a shot to be 'the guy'

Perhaps, but this is how it has to be considering all other options.

wish case the best of luck going against one of the best defenses in the league and in one of the roughest stadiums to play in. i hope the offense has been doing interception drills cuz its going to be a long day smh.

Wise move. Houston had to do this given the spot they are in, tbh. This is win/win for the Texans. If he pans out, they have a QB to stick with... If he sucks, Kubiak gets fired.

He either has it upstairs or he doesn't, imo. If he does, the environment and the opponent won't wreck his confidence.

It'll be cute for one game while VINCE YOUNG gets his physical taken care of and learns the very difficult offense.

Calling Case a hometown hero is a misnomer to be honest.

Houston is the biggest bandwagon sports city and I'll bet 80% of its college football fans support horn and aggy.

Hope he has a stellar enough performance to generate interest from teams in need of QBs, ie Oakland, Minnesota, and Cleveland.
