I went to the game and sat in the 4th row. I will upload some pics and videos I took soon
Just watched the game, I liked Baynes much more than Ayres who is too tentative right now. DeColo did not look too bad, but missing all his shots will not help him.
Why hasn't Kawhi been a bit more aggressive trying to get some shots?
Yep, same old Nando, he's still impotent out there.
I missed the game, anyone care to give a player roundup? Looks like folks liked Baynes from the comments.
I was at the game and here's a couple of things I noticed:
1. Marco/Ginobili playing together off the bench was fun to watch. The more they play together, they will be a solid 2nd unit, in my opinion. If Marco can find his spots on the floor and Gino can make a pass to him without turning it over, they might make a few baskets.
2. Jeff Ayres: He looked lost last night. I loved his effort though. If he will focus on grabbing some boards and his 'D', Marco and Gino will take care of the scoring.
3. Tim Duncan: Amazing! He continues to look great. Let's hope for an injury free season/playoffs. With him on the floor, we are certainly le contenders.
4. TP: Started slow, picked it up in the 3rd. He'll be fine this year.
5. Leonard: I had the best seats of my life for this game. It amazed me how his facial expressions NEVER change. He needs to work on his jumper off the dribble, the few he shot were way short. They didn't run many plays for him last night.
6. Bonner: He still shoots the 3 well. That's all he can do. Period. Oh, he did pick up about 3-4 fouls pretty quickly.
7. Baynes: Nice play for him at the end of the game. He picked up a few boards against some pretty decent big guys (Brand and Horford)
I really didn't see much from anyone else. It was a fun game to watch. Kevin Willis, Dennis Scott and Hubie Brown were a few people I noticed at the game.
This must've been Ayres' first "bad" game, considering he's been doing real well. I'm excited to see what he can do in the regular season.
Bonner also had a nice baby hook as well ... He is two dimensional in a non pressure game :-)
Cojo was awful! He needs to be put in the dog house! Talk about looking lost out there!
