The San Antonio Spurs visited the Miami Heat in preseason action on Saturday night, and Gregg Popovich conceded his team's loss in last season's NBA Finals still stings.

"It still goes through my head every day," Popovich said. "The other night I dreamt about LeBron [James]."

The Spurs led by five points late in Game 6 against the Heat, but they ended up losing that game as well as Game 7 and the series.

Man, that sucks, pop's still agonizing about the loss. I wish we in Spurs nation can move forward, 2015 is going to be a redemption year for us.

Almost same situation as Phil Jackson in 2011 when some nights he dreamt of his defending champion team, at that time then, being swept by the Mavericks. How could Kobe let the career of arguably the best coach in american professional sports history to end that way?

That was definitely not how I envisioned Phil would end his career. That was pretty sour. Were the Lakers swept in that series or it went to 6 games?

Popovich was dreaming of another man? Forget Timmy, Pop might be the gay one on the Spurs, tbh

Similar to the outcome of Lakers' playoff run last season.

I understand Pop wants Bron on his team bad but he dreamed of Lebron??? Now we seem to get a clue who Tammy's partner is. I've only dreamed about my goddess since the obsession began imho

Well Pop, maybe you should have left one of the best rebounders and defenders in history on the court when your team needed a stop or a rebound to win the le. Maybe then instead of agonizing you'd be looking forward to raising that 5th banner in a week or so. head.

still one of the worst coaching decisions that I recall. What's worse is he's still defending that terrible decision in a recent interview.

nailed it nig. Pop became tenured after 2007, so he's received too many passes for his ups. You always complain about Parker and Ginobili but imo it starts with Pop, from the top. Have to hope for a miracle this season because I don't trust Pop at the helm anymore.
