Can the Miami Heat do it again?
A majority of the league's general managers think so. According to NBA.com's 12th annual GM Survey, the Heat are the clear favorite to win their third straight le. But five other teams also received votes to win the 2014 Finals, the most le contenders in the survey in five years.
The GMs have made it clear that LeBron James is the best player in the world. And after a three-year absence, 37-year-old Tim Duncan is back as the top power forward in the league. But for the first time in the history of the survey, someone other than Kobe Bryant has been named as the league's best shooting guard.
All 30 GMs responded to 56 different questions about the best teams, players, coaches, fans, and offseason moves. General managers were not permitted to vote for their own team or personnel. Percentages are based on the pool of respondents to each question of the survey, rather than all 30 GMs.
Parker ranked best international player
Kawhi got votes for player likely to have a breakout season
Nando got a vote for international player likely to have breakout season
Pop dominated coaching categories.
Matt Bonner's name even on here- Which player makes the most of limited natural ability?Came in 3rd

Heh, so people are saying the Spurs are fun to watch?
So now we know that PlayNando is actually a GM in the NBA.
Which team? Perhaps the Bobcats?
Is David Kahn still a GM?
Lol CP3 is so effin overrated.
It's amazing man... I know he could have a better year than last, but a breakout player? Just seems unlikely at this point
The respect that Popovich has in this league is impressive. Wouldn't know it based on this forum.
I'm sure theHeat respect Pop. He handed them a ring.
Props to Gino for sneaking in a few categories, including the "clutch" category, tbh...![]()
ROFL at Nando De Colo...
I bet R.C. put in a very quick call to whoever wrote this article begging them to tell him who the GM was.
Also, interesting Heat didnt get a single vote for team youd like to watch play
That's because Miami, as good as they are, are already predictable at this point.
Pop as the best in, in game adjustments.
yep, like pulling your best player out of the game in the final minute.
Too bad Pop doesn't trust himDuncan rated #1 PF![]()
Manu voted one of the most clutch rofl
And lol for Marc Gasol being one of the best scrubs. Dude is 7 feet tall and his brother is a freak of nature. Easily that's Krypto Nate
don't forget 60% of these morons also thought the Lakers would come out of the west last season...
haha, exactly.
imagine phil jackson pulling pippen and rodman out at the end of a game on the defensive end during the finals. that's what popovich did, but his past obviously erases that somehow.
Any Spur fan acquitting Pop of his championship costing blunder should stop watching basketball altogether. As a basketball enthusiast, that was the worst sequence of coaching I have ever seen.
Which team will win the Southeast Division?
1. Miami -- 100%
When was the last time this happened tbh?
MJ Chicago days or Shaq's Lakers?
Which team will win the Pacific Division?
1. L.A. Clippers -- 89.7%
2. Golden State -- 10.3%
Last year: L.A. Lakers -- 96.7%
Partner have you seen the teams they compete with? Miami is gifted with 16 free wins out of their own division not to mention the other crappy Eastern conference teams that consistently tank.
But has it ever been so unanimous? The Spurs always had the Mavs to keep them in check and the Lakers had the Kings. Heck even the Bulls had Pistons back in the days.
I found that part laughable that he is still considered the best point guard in the NBA even though he's been outplayed by so many others. What a joke the ol' sport is. This year, there are no excuses because Doc is the coach now.
