Blame the AD for scheduling such a superior team. Sounds like the losers should've been playing a JV schedule. Also blame the refs for not ins uting a running clock in the 2nd half (a common HS/MS practice). They probably did this back when you played soccer in HS, tbh

I've been on some bad teams growing up and I've known people on bad teams. Never once have I wanted or known anyone who wanted the other team to quit playing before the game is over. That's worse than losing.

You go for little victories. Make a tackle, make a stop, catch a pass, whatever. No one ever asks the kids what they think. It's another case of a parent staking too much of his personal pride in what his son's team does on the football field. The kids never seem to be as damaged or affected in these situations as the parents are.

Now that it's national news thanks to this guy, that might be a different story.
