    Choose.

How about a scenario: Say each of these guys have crappy teammates, and there is 10 seconds left in the game, and their team is down 1 point. Each of these guys HAVE to take the shot, and the defenders are playing them tightly, preventing them from getting a good jumpshot off, forcing them to drive through traffic. Who would you trust more to dribble their way through multiple defenders and get to the hoop for a layup?

There's nothing useful about this thread it's like inviting Tim Duncan to the play-boy Mansion...

i think it's difficult to separate jump-shooting from discussion imho. defenders need to arrange some defensive attention for the possibility of CP shooting a jumper, which means lower defensive intensity around the loop. When the defenders are playing tightly, I think it's even harder to drive through the traffic for a layup and make it without being rejected than just attempting a contested jumper and letting luck decide the rest, imho.

I take Isiah ...because he was the "hungrier" scorer. Paul has at least similar handles and maybe even vastly superior and can score when motivated to do so. But as good as Paul can be in the clutch, I have seen games (playoffs) were he seems to wear down. Generally those games are when dealing with another tough PG or when he has to fly over the court on defense chasing steals. Isiah has great handles and a good passer but was a more gifted scorer. He went on "runs" that I have never seen Paul do. I think when you want a bucket as much as a gamer as Paul is ... you want the guy who is more natural at it and who craves to score.

i consider paul to be one of the best ballhandlers ever, however i would take thomas for all the reasons in the world aside of the aforementioned. In the scenario i would take Thomas, Paul is a loser.

Thomas. 16 points in 94 seconds. 25 points in a quarter with a bad ankle in the FINALS.

Paul hasn't even done half of what Thomas did.

This. Plus Zeke was a tough SOB. He had the best handles I've ever seen. CP3's handles are nice though.

Isiah was one of the greatest ball handlers, just ask Magic Johnson.

Paul doesn't even have Iversons handles. You take that pick and roll away from Paul and he's a very basic player. Zeke was on the level of Magic when it came to passing and a best ball handler the NBA has ever seen. Paul is good but he's a pussy and is afraid of that big moment.
