    Cam looked great tonight (against a ty team). Hoping he can keep it going. They have a shot at a wildcard if they take care of the football. However, I won't be holding my breath.
    They get some help with Cutler injured, but they have to beat out Chicago, Detroit, and (what will be) a hard-charging Atlanta team. The game vs the Falcons next week could have far-reaching implications.

    Panthers are better than the Bears and Lions if Cam doesn't screw up. They should be a playoff team.

    Disagree. Their defense is the absolute truth, but let's not go crazy after 4 games in a row against the likes of Palmer (L), Cassel, Bradford, and Glennon. Their remaining schedule--what are your projections?:

    ATL, W
    @SF, L
    NE, L
    @MIA, W
    TB,W
    @NO, L
    NYJ, W
    NO, L
    @ATL, L

    Is 8-8 good enough? I was generous in giving them the split with NE/MIA too, and the Jets are no push-overs.

    I gravitate toward DD's assessment... But I'll double down on the turnovers. Avoid those (big "if") and Carolina could sneak in. They're not a SB team, but they could certainly make some noise. That defense is well coached and solid, all it needs is a GAME MANAGER to guide them. If Cam understands that, watch out.

    But, like I said, I'm not holding my breath

    Just looked at Carolina's whole schedule...they very well could've been 7-0 (the Seattle and Arizona losses completely Cam's fault). Has any team in NFL history ever had such a favorable schedule in the first half of the season? Outside of Week 1 those opponents are hot garbage--even next week's game is against a wounded and vastly underachieving Falcons team.

    Their defense is the best in the NFC right now. Their no different than the Niners who have beaten Bradford, Schaub, Palmer, and Locker in their last 4 wins.

    i think they will go at least 10-6. They will beat the Saints once and I think they can beat NE at home. But it really depends on Cam because he has the pieces around him to succeed. The black media will always blame Rivera when the truth is Cam has a playoff team around him.

    lol i dont even want the first pick, bridgewater is as overrated as they get. clown for clowney
    I'd be more worried about them taking Mariota from us. In my opinion he's the only qb worthy of the #1 pick right now.

    That loss to the Bills is what will likely hurt Carolina in the end.

    I don't think the Bears are out of it just yet if Cutler comes back in five weeks. They have a bye this week, then 3 out of their next five after the bye are against Baltimore, St. Louis and Minnesota. They'll likely lose their next two after the bye though. And the Bears are capable of beating any of the remaining teams on their schedule from week 14 on if Cutler is healthy. But him being out is a blessing for Carolina.

    The 49ers will likely get one of the wild card spots unless a colossal collapse happens. 5 of their next 9 are pretty much guaranteed. But I think they'll only lose 3 of their remaining games.

    If the Lions win this week, they may very well win the NFC North division if they can keep Bush and Tron healthy. And at the very least, wrap up the second wild card spot. Dallas, then a bye. Then Chi, Pitt, and Tampa. Then Green Bay, Philly, Balt, NYG and the Vikings LOL That's a very favorable schedule.

    If Carolina is for real, they'll likely end up in a race with Green Bay for the last wild card because of all of GB's injuries. But if Green Bay wins the division, I don't think the Panthers have a shot at the second wild card. But the next 5 weeks are about as favorable as it could be for a Green Bay team that's unhealthy LOL They'd have to collapse on the back end with 4 out of their last 5 being somewhat difficult.

    I think Jackson returning for ATL will make them a rabid dog, and a spoiler of sorts. So those are trap games. If Carolina makes the playoffs with this schedule, I could only tip my hat to them.

    As I see it now, this is what I project for the NFC without seeding. Seattle, N.O, Detroit, and the one lucky soul that makes it out of the east. The wildcards being S.F and Green Bay. Although, Green Bay has the Patriots disease, but also a decent schedule during their time of hardship. But we'll see. Carolina's schedule is just down right nasty from here on out.

    The Seattle loss is on deangelo IMO. He fumbled that in the 10 yard line with like 5-6 min left

    Yeah, let's blame the running back who had 86 yards on 5.1ypc instead of blaming the leader of the offense who supplied 7 points and 125 passing yards at HOME. I know your QB expectations have understandably fallen off this year, but think about those #'s for a second.
