As soon as mine seized up, I walked around a little bit, and could barely do that. So I sat, and eventually left the gym altogether. Until I don't feel it walking up stairs, I'm not even going to try anything.

You know what's funny? Granger's career averages are almost the same as T-Macs(apart from assists)

    Granger: 18.1 ppg 5.2 reb 2.0 ast 1.0 stl 0.9 blk 43,7% FG 38,4% 3PT
    Mcgrady: 19.6 ppg 5.6 reb 4.4 ast 1.2 stl 0.9 blk 43,5% FG 33,8% 3PT

08-09 Granger was pretty similar to Rocket's T-Mac on the scoring end, always felt like he had the potential to be a superstar, but never could quite make the leap. This man shot above 40% from 3 on nearly 7 attempts per game, crazy.

I doubt he'll ever go back to being a consistent 20 ppg scorer, at least not in Indy. It's Paul George's/Hibbert's team now, Granger been out about a year now, didn't look like himself in the pre-season and now this...

Not saying he was ever comparable to a prime, healthy Mcgrady, but he was a decent 20-26 ppg scorer for a 3 year stretch.

It's probably your soleus muscle. It happens to athletes who do plyometric sports (basketball, tennis, etc.) I've had this injury in both legs, and yes, it's best to rest. It feels like an ice pick jammed into your lower calf. Not cool. Look it up online - lots of rehab stuff you can do. I actually injured mine initially when I went running while still on antibiotics for the flu. I know it sounds weird, but a side effect of the antibiotic I was on was muscle weakness - and I wasn't aware of that. So the first day I felt like exercising, I went running, and maybe 500 yards down the road, I felt that ice pick feeling for the first time in my life. Not good. A few years later, I aggravated the soleus in both legs while running on a beach in the Caymans. That fine, white sand. Last time I run on that stuff.

Thanks, I'll check that out for sure. I definitely had the sharp pain you're describing.

they made the WCF and dragged it to 7 games without Granger, so it's no big deal whether he plays or not imho. Maybe the Pacers have already put him on trading block and their manager has been making phone calls all around the league inquiring the possibility of trading him away.
