I didn't come out of nowhere and insult you. I don't remember the context of our first interaction on the boards (though I think it was in a thread about movies?), but I can almost guarantee that I didn't just pop up and start calling you names. It's genuinely not how I post, and wasn't ever my style in the years I've been here. I don't doubt that I probably threw out a prison guard joke or two over the years, just because I'll almost always take an opportunity for a laugh if I see one, but in general I avoid personal insults here (except in the Quattro) and keep my comments limited to the content of someone's post or posting history. I'm well aware of the fact I don't know you or anyone else here on a personal level, so I see no reason to start spouting insults based on I couldn't possibly know. Even tonight I called your argument stupid, I didn't call you stupid for having made it. And if/when you make (or have made?) a point with which I agree, I'd have no problem acknowledging it. All of which should be backed up by my posting history.

It's far more likely that I "came out of nowhere" and was suddenly disagreeing with you. If you took it personally, then you may have seen it otherwise, but I am almost certain my first post(s) to you were not insults and name calling. If anyone can find a post of mine to prove otherwise, I would be legitimately shocked.

Pretty accurate - except that it should be pointed out - that even if we were aware of the others presence - no direct insults had been slung - until that one.

The reason I brought it up is not because of any hurt - but because this wtf feeling you described to skull is exactly my wtf feeling for the first couple of years for me.
