the league and the media were dumbasses after that bs linsanity craze... those that believed deserved every little bit of what they got and still have to deal with.
Houston still keeps its Chinese fanbase and deals.
Worth it.
Lin needs to be given the keys to the offense when he's in the game so coming off the bench could be good. He's a very good scorer/playmaker, but needs the ball in his hands which isn't possible in the starting lineup because harden does the exact same thing but more efficiently

Beverly aint much better and a lot of Lin's defensive lapses can be shored up by a healthy Howard tbh.
this is actually a good move. now they should put asik with lin in the 2nd unit.
Lin is a better player overall for sure, but Beverly is a better fit. He's a much better defender and can hit the 3 so that is very useful. Lin's contract looks really bad in context, but in a different situation (meaning another ball dominant guard was not there that's top 2 in the league at SG) Lin would perform much better IMO. He obviously brings other outside of basketball opportunities as well.
Houston retains its entire asian fanbase from yao's days. If it made sense for any nba team to overpay, it is the rockets. They are uniquely situated with the asian goodwill yao created.
Chump is spot on. It's a homerun and no brainer in economic and financial terms.
Rin's only value is catering to those chinese fans, when he's technically even more American than the US president
