Jermaine Kearse will get a lot more playing time. Even though he has some growing up to do. He did catch a game winning 43 yard TD pass earlier this year VS Carolina, so hopefully he can build on that going forward. Even when Percy comes back, he'll likely have to ease his way into a heavy snap total, so Kearse and Baldwin will have to play well in the mean time.
If he understands the playbook he won't have to be eased in. The WR position is not a defensive player or OL where they're virtually guaranteed to be in on a hit every play. Besides, most of his plays will be quick-outs anyway to get him in space where he's most dangerous.
Baldwin is probably the steadier of the two but he's had difficulty getting separation in the slot and that is going to hamper him. Percy will alleviate some of that but it is definitely on Kearse and Baldwin because Harvin's track record is not one to be totally confident in. My FF WR corps has been a meat wagon for sure. Julio Jones, James Jones, and Reggie Wayne were at one point part of my FF team.
The ease I'm referring to is more directed towards his inexperience. But, he has showed nice growth from last season, so I'm hoping that continues.
I agree. Percy isn't an X, slot all the way. Which in theory should push Baldwin to a much lower snap count later in the year if Kearse steps up.
Wow, your WR core is decimated. I've had my share of injuries as well. Vereen, Cutler, Sam Bradford, Ray Rice with his nagging hip, the Lacy concussion early on this year. It's a two QB league.
My RBs were banged up, too. I have Rice, McFadden, Starks--my most consistent players were Andrew Luck, the Cinn D and Matt Prater! I was rolling out of the gate and poof! My season is a loss.
I started out strong as well, then dropped a few. But, once Lacy came back, and Moreno began to get the bulk of the load, I climbed back to .500. My receivers are carrying me, Salsa/A.J/Keenan Allen. I have Harvin on my bench, so I'm hoping he goes off from week 12 on and I can make a run at it. Ray Rice says he's on the mend, so that would do wonders for my RB depth.
he's been producing though. in PPR formats he's at least hit double digits every week, save the redskins game where he got knocked out in the 1st quarter. he's not the guy your team leans on, but he carries his weight in the starting lineup for sure
Big loss for that frontline Bengals D...
they also lost leon hall last week, so they are considerably worse than they were just a week ago. They could have been the most stacked team in the AFC in the play offs, but now they are just the bengals..
Ray Maululaga, too..Justin Blackmon suspended for the remainder of the season. Not sure if that's a meatwagon nominee that is correct but if you have had to play on the Jags I guess you deserve a medal or should be allowed to be on crack...
lol blackmon begins is gonna have to change his name to blackmon ends. blackmon suspended for rest of regular season for violating substance abuse policy.
holy --the AFC Packers, tbh
Kubiak was murdered on sideline. Unknown how long he will be out.
Max Unger, concussion. Adds to the offensive line woes. Hopefully he doesn't miss any time. We'll see.
Aaron Rogers broken collarbone, possibly out for the year. Monkeyball has taken another victim
Now it's a small fracture so they're saying 3 weeks. Fully broken collarbones can be 6-8 weeks
Red Bryant: Concussion. No time table established
